On my Custom Pro the AC Buffer O-ring is loose and just dangling around the AC drive spring, this is a brand new gun right out of the package. Should I return it or is it supposed to be like this because it shoots fine?

I can't tell if it is supposed to be like this or not.

Unless you can find some other place for it to fit  I'd just let it hang out right where it  is. You are putting us on, right?

When the gun is not cocked it is visible, but when the action is engaged it seems like it is snugg some where in there. I just don't know why it floats around when uncocked. Seems like a legitimate question for someone whos pretty green when it comes to Tippmanns( I'm not putting you on, sorry for such a novice question)

We all need a chuckle now and then, but visual examination shows you that it belongs there. Relax!

that oring is loose there for a reason... it keeps the bolt from hitting the end cap and should be left in place. removing it can cause the rear bolt to strike the end cap and make it explode (and likely injure you)

just leave it loose in there, as long as you put it over the drive spring but not the ACT spring youll be fine...

is the oring supposed to be on both springs? or just the middle spring?  or just the top spring?  this is on a custom pro....

The buffer buffers the recoil of the hammer...providing a cushion between the hammer (rear bolt) and the back cap. It rides the power spring.

Lol wow i just registered to this forum exactly for the same reason as this guy posted, i was out looking for an answer for this dangly O ring...just seemed out of place for an o ring to be dangling around like that...but i guess its legit, i had guessed its purpose right it seems.

By the way, hi all im new!

There is no way for them to make that O-ring actually attach to something, at least not without reworking the recievers or something funny.
