HOT OFF THE PRESS!!!
Operation: Paintball Island Real Action Paintball is proud to announce "Operation: Paintball Island," the $1,000,000.00 grand prize paintball tournament! The tournament will take place on a private tropical island, with an undisturbed natural wildlife environment with raw forests, rivers and beaches surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean
Operation: Paintball Island is a two-stage woodland style paintball tournament for 10 to 12 player woodsball teams. The first phase, the qualifier stage, will take place in Mississippi, on the US mainland, during August of 2007. At least 10 qualifying games will take place around the country, to find the teams most worthy of this ultimate paintball challenge. The winning team of each qualifier game will earn $50,000 dollars.
The second stage of the tournament will take place during March of 2008 in Brazil, South America. The tournament will take place on a private tropical island—an undisturbed natural wildlife environment with raw forests, rivers and beaches surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. The winning team will earn the grand prize of $1,000,000.00 dollars! Every player that registers and pays the regular registration fee gets a FREE RAP4 T68 SMG—the official paintball marker of Operation Paintball Island.
Participation in the tournament is open to anyone, from any country or continent, who is at least 18 years of age. Players may enter the tournament individually, in groups of two or more players, or as a complete team of 10 to 12 players. Players who enter the tournament together will be placed on the same "squad."
This tournament will be the most rewarding, most unique, and most intense paintball tournament ever played. Contestants will have the opportunity to enjoy—and endure—nature, their competitors, and their own will, on a tropical island. The human spirit will be tested in this ultimate game of survival and strategic paintball warfare. Players are encouraged to sign up with their friends, other paintball enthusiasts and even non-enthusiasts who have wanted to play paintball, but have not gotten the chance to play.
Have you read "The Most Dangerous Game"? Now's your chance to live something closely akin to that, on a tropical paradise, with a million dollars on the line.

SHOW ME THE MONEY.
I caution everyone who is seriously considering playing in this tournament to request a third party verifiable proof of funds from the entity running the tournament.
Its all to easy to put together a wonderful scam whereby a 500 people from many different teams pay $1299.00 (minus $350.00 equals $949.00) each, which comes out to $474,500 in PROFIT for the organizer... and then only to find out there is no final tournament for a million dollar prize. They just scammed almost a half a million for the promise of a huge final prize.
The prize money not only should be verifiable, but also placed in an escrow type account held by a disinterested third party.
I'm not trying to ruin your day, but anyone willing to pay over a thousand dollars to play a few domestic games with the promise of an offshore game with huge dollars for the prize should at least do some due diligence. |
This could be entirly true, the per person registration fee is close to 1500 USD

This thread was 9 months old, and the "pre-lims" were almost 6 months ago. Please don't bump old threads.
