Ok, so I've been more active on ebay lately. Sold some stuff, bought some stuff. Selling actually went well, so that's not my beef. But the stuff I've bought in the last couple of weeks has given me nothing but problems....
First I buy some headphones for my treo, the right side doesn't work. I'm in the process of getting that exchanged.
Then I buy a bluetooth dongle, and after trying to make it work for the last 4 hours, I've decided that it's complete crap. Granted, it was cheap, so I should have known better, but the thing isn't supported by Microsoft, so it wont work with activesync. Awesome. I'm thinking about trying to get the cash back here.
Then I bought a mini bluetooth mouse for the phone. The auction ended like 12 days ago, and I still haven't received it. I emailed the guy earlier, but now I get to wait....
And last, but definitely not least, I got my girl a phone. Nice phone, I got it for pretty cheap from one of those used cellphone places. Phone got here quick and worked awesomely....Until I tried to activate it. Turns out it was hot. Well, seeing as how Sprint suddenly knew that I was in possession of stolen goods, I called the local sheriff to cover my ass. They had me come in and file a report, and then took the phone. Well, I email the seller to get my money back, right? They were really cool about it, sent me a link to a form to fill out and send in to get my money. The catch? They want the phone back. Well, that's not going to happen. Now I have to argue with them....I'm in the process of this, not sure how it's going to work out....
I love my life...

My recent experiences with eBay were awesome...but still, eBay's a last resort for me if at all possible. Just too much to go through for the average product.

we have never had problems. well i did buy a rc panther tank once and some of the detailed parts were broken off and missing. in the picture it showed them fine. i still consider it a deal though after i got it painted. we always check their feedback. if their new or don't have above a 95 i usually dont mess with them.

Yeah, I know. And now they're not getting back to me....Freakin positive feedback has already been left for both sides too...
I've got a keyboard, when I get the mouse, it'll pretty much be a mini-laptop....
I might show it off when I get it all kitted up....

The only problem I've ever had with ebay was a DVD that never arrived, but the dude refunded my money with no hassle at all.

Those
are partly the reasons I never started using eBay. Some people swear by
it, others are iffy, others curse it. I think it depends on how clear
the product discription is and their feedback, but even the best
sellers can turn sour.

The phrase "too good to be true" rings in my head. I've gotten to where unless the price is just lower than what I would expect. I dont even bother with it.

lol its why in all my actions I say that "I reserve the right to refuse any return"
of course i'd be fair but i won't accept a return if someone bought it, and decided they didn't like it. My pictures are very accurate

I'm really one of those in the "swear by it" group, but lately I've been having some really crappy luck....'Course, I did forget to mention the successful purchases of a car charger and some printer ink...Got my mouse today too, and it works perfectly. The headphones will probably be easily fixed and the dongle wasn't that bigga loss, but the phone thing is what's really sucking. They haven't responded to my last email for like 2 days....Any body know if there's any recourse I can take here?
