So most of you saw the other thread.  Just to recap, my dog got mauled my my grandmas dog (go figure) and he had to go to the animal emergency hospital for emergency surgury.

Basically, he had about a 1" square piece of skin, as well as some muscle torn from the left side of his neck (all of the skin, I could clearly see his muscle).  He also had punture wounds on the right side.

Here is a pic of him:

The left side of his neck, where the big whole was.  There are 7 stictches in the big wound, a stitch in a puncture wound about it.:

The drainage tube on the right side, built up fluids (and some blood) periodically drip out of it.  Its connected to a bulb like thing planted inside his neck  Two stitches here.:

The drainage tube on the left side, one stitch.  There is one punture wound with one stitch and another puncture wound with two stitches shown as well.

His neck:

I also might mention that he his blind, which is why his eyes are blue/green/red/white.

What type of dog is that?

I would make a joke about having a sissy dog like that, but I have a Bichon Frise and have no grounds to insult other owners..

Yea he is a Bichon.  He isn't "cut like a Bichon" because he goes against what his breed usually does and loves to be outside.  He has to get shaved almost to the skin because of his love of playing in dirt.

Anyway, hope he gets better soon.

He became blind in the right eye when he was 9.  The left eye went when he was 10.  He is now 11.  Apparently it isn't uncommon for Bichons to get glaucoma.

This past surgery was something like $700.  The surgery for each eye when he went blind was like $500 I think?  So a total of $1700.

Figured someone would ask that, and it would be pretty weird if he was.  But no, the assailant was a big shepherd/husky mix.

We had to shoot a husky dog couple years back when it was attacking our pigs. We even had our cop friend over for dinner and said that we had every right to. Felt kinda bad because there was two of them and the oterh quit after we shot the first. We took the other to the cop shop and a guy was there looking for two husky dogs.

Is there a chance of getting him medicinal pot?

I have two german shepherds, I bet they make your working class dog look like a poodle.
