I went paintballing for the first time this year, i've gone before but not this year. Anyway there were so many friggin cheaters. I have never seen it so bad and out of control. First off you have those speedball kids playing in the woods. Well they are "Too good" for common woodsballers so they will not go out with one break on them, they'll just wipe it, pretend not to notice it and say its from a previous game, or keep running and shooting people to get them out before exiting the field. They'd also sit there near the boundaries around the field and tell each other where everyones at if that cant see them when the "dead men dont talk" rule is in effect.
There was also a time when my teammate got shot and his older brother/dad just told him to wipe it off and keep playing so he did. I was ready to light both of them up even though they were on my own team.
Another thing that really ticked me off and I was ready to kill someone is a couple people on the other team when they were out would act like their leaving the field, raise their guns and everything then when they get behind your team they start playing again and shoot a ton of your players out.
After today I pretty much am ready to stop playing, it was friggin horrible. These stupid "non-legit" cheater players are ruining the game I loved.
What also really disappointed me is its at a field sponsored by tippmann :'(

Ahhh muffffffin!!
What ^he said but switch the "a little bit" with "a lot".
That could be it... do you have a firepower upgrade? Cause once you get one you might stop crying... come on you know it's an awesome sport/hobby/game/whatever it is, just go somewhere else and play!

have a talk with them, then. especially to a ref. if the ref doesn't do anything, then tell management, and tell them if they don't shape up, you won't come back. It's how all the places around here got shot down.

Change fields. There is a field near me that I am positive all the newbs cheat. I know I can go to this other field and all the regulars won't cheat. It's mostly regulars anyways.

I can imagine that it would be frustrating to have players wiping, and refs not noticing it ... the best I can say is ... well, what everybody else is saying. Keep hitting the turd until he calls himself out. Bunkered people generally don't wipe too ... not with several stinging messy hits on their back or rear.

Also not legal and could get everyone arrested for assault and turn into a nasty lawsuit for the owner of the field, signed waivers or not. Court/lawyer fees would most certainly ruin the owner.
It's simple, ref catches you wipe your banned.

Well, the "speedball kids" usually just don't care to go out because it is just woodsball. Everyone is there for fun, and isn't playing a little longer fun?
I'm not saying it is good to cheat, just shoot me more I don't care. Shoot me alot, I'll live. If I ever play you call me on it and I'll let you unload on me to take away some anger.
I don't like dead men talking though(I don't do it), I had the problem against a team I hate. I was posted up on a kid and his teammate kept telling him.
As far as the raising their hands and then shooting people there is an easy solution. Shoot everyone dead or alive. A good dead man's walk is always good, so just shoot everyone.
Oh, and you should just change fields if you care that much.

If everybody doesnt want to go out on the first hit , call a "Two hit elimination" where once a player is hit , he/she goes back to the start point for his team (or other agreed upon spot) , and has another go at it ! We do this commonly at the recball/renegade field I play at , and as long as everybody plays by the same rules , Its All Good !
Deliberate , consistent , and flagrant cheaters on the other hand , should be shown no mercy .

I don't really have a problem with people that wipe usually just because I
play mostly speedball and I bonus ball people. But I do have a problem
with dead men talking when i'm in the woods so to solve my problem I
pop a few at the people talking and if they complain to the ref then they
get them selfs introuble

You know, while I like the fact that someone is touting the autococker to be extremely accurate, etc. It pains be to see them do it this way, but that's for another post. Oh, and BTW, you ever try to freeze a paintball and fire it? good luck with that.... Polyethylene Glycol doesn't really freeze that well. At least not in your conventional home freezer which is typically set to a temperature of approximately 10*F to 15*F. What happens is that the gelatin takes on moisture (because freezers have a high humidity level) during the defrost cycle of the freezer and becomes misshapen while also becoming extremely brittle. The PeG (that's C2nH4n+2On+1 for all you chem buffs) never does freeze, so the whole "frozen ball myth" is just that; a myth. Now, should you drop your freezer temp enough to freeze a paintball, you'd still have to get it, in it's frozen state, to your marker in the field and not have it thaw (which would cause the gelatin to swell due to the heat and humidity change) would be quite an accomplishment. Even if you could get it there frozen, the gelatin would be so brittle that it would shatter in the marker leaving a misshapen PeG pellet to fly out of the end in a non-aerodynamic style with a flight-path akin to a round exiting a barrel clogged with broken paint. All in all, it's just not possible to do.
As for the original issue at hand
Wiping happens, sure, it sucks. But you need to deal with it in an adult manner. If you see it happen, call it to the ref's attention. If it continues to happen, bring it back up and, should the refs ignore the matter, talk to the management. But there is little you can do while on the field other than making sure that when they're hit, it's obvious. A lot of die-hard woodsball-only guys complain about speedball being a game of only throwing a lot of paint. But the reason that we throw so much (on top of covering lanes and providing cover and support fire) is that it's a lot easier for a ref or even the opposing player, to see a hit if there are 5 of them instead of just one. I shoot a lot, and I'll apologize for over-shooting as soon as it happens, but I'm going to make sure you're out and you know it.
As for dead men talking. while the netting will keep players safe, having rounds hit the netting in front of the person talking makes them think twice about getting close enough to say something. Also, bonus-balling people who don't have a barrel cover on is considered perfectly acceptable in this day and age of paintball.

hehe i love it when people pick on me.... the gun isnt the important thing(except in speedball) tactics are, if you can get within approx 50 ft any gun should be able to hit the target. i am relatively new but ive played wiht alot of guns and theres nothing better than a fully upgraded autocoker!!... mine dosnt have a detent thogh... it drives me NUTS!!!! its like i cant point it down... really hard when your trying to hide or maneuvre, or shoot down a hill, the list goes on...but ya... i talk 2 much.....

Please go learn ENGLISH. IF you accomplish that feat, please proceed to learn GRAMMAR.
if your autococker doesn't have a detent, then i laugh at you for your foolishness. you spent all your money upgrading your cocker and you cant shoot downward.

Hey man there are cheaters everwhere, when I go to Skirmish USA, there is a ton. Just make sure they pay, there, if there are little kids we do this rule thing where if someone comes up and says surrend or die, that is soppse to mean your out, other wise you would have been shot with 5 fet of air in between your gun and them. But you show no mercy, shoot them till they walk out. Its what I do, i got a pretty powerful gun. One time some guy tried it, he whipped of a few shots from me so I snuck behind him, he was playing in a short sleve shirt, well i shot him pretty close and he felt it, he never did it again . So take what I have told you and do it. As for those dead talkers, it doesnt matter because by the time the guy hears what they say and realize it, they are dead, so no big deal.

I've used a grenade a couple times. They are 1/2 way Decent, I usually dont even pull the pin on them, and tell the Squad I'm with "when they run out peg em'" and after a few go down, and we make a death run, I go over and pick up my grenade, and the look on some players faces are sometimes too much, it's better when they don't run and I throw a live one.
