Crossfire 68/4500 - $185

or

PMI 68/4500 - $150

or

PMI 88/4500 - $170

And also, fixed high pressure or fixed low pressure? (For an Ion)

Oh, i think the PMI 68/4500 isn't fiber wrapped. It says glass. Not sure if that's good or not. If it doesn't matter, I'm gonna get that and still be able to get a tank cover and keep it pretty cheap.

Crap! It also only has a 3 year hydro test life. That sucks. looks like the PMI 68/4500 is out of the picture. Now it's down to PMI 88/4500 or crossfire 68/4500.

Still not sure about fixed high or fixed low pressure.

The crossfire tanks don't say what the hydro test date is. I think I'm going with PMI then.

Someone told me high pressure tanks are better for an ion but i still don't have any idea why. I need advise on that. High or Low?

Go with a high output Crossfire 68/4500

it IS made of carbon... glass would be a very bad idea lol

3 years is pretty much standard... though in my experiences, many crossfire tanks are 5 years if that matters to you.

pmi is pretty low-end, I reccommend the crossfire as it's a pretty good company

That settles it then. Crossfire, 68/4500, fiber wrapped, high output.

Thanks!

actually carl, when it says "Glass" it means fiberglass wrapped cylinder rather than Carbonfiber wrapped cyclinder. Many CF tanks don't need to be hydro'ed for at least 5 years. FG tanks need to be done every 3-years. Also, FG tanks must be destroyed after 10 years. CF tanks can be used indefinitely. Steel tanks also have a hydro of 5-years and are indefinite usage when it comes to how long they can be used. Also, little known rule here, but in the US, the DOT does NOT require hydrostatic testing for any tank that is less than 2" in diameter, so all those 4, 7, and 9oz tanks that you have lying around are good FOREVER!

1. CF tanks are on a maximum hydro rotation of five years. Some are 3 years; it all depends on the DOT number.

2. CF tanks are to be destroyed after 15 years.

Actually, you can have it extended to 30 by request.

Crossfire--you'll thank yourself in the end. I've never had a single problem with the 5 or so Crossfire tanks I've owned.

Ok, I'll definately be getting the crossfire fiber wrapped. But some people told me a high pressure output is better for an ION, and others told me low pressure is better.

Does high presssure have a faster recharge rate? And is it hard on the gun, considering it's a low pressure gun?
