I have always wondered if you could take some microline or macrolinde and run inside of your gun and through the grip and have it come out of the bottom of the grip and into the ASA. This would obviolsy keep you from having a completly external hose.I know this would require a lot of milling. I have thought about it for awhile now and I don't know but I don't think I'm the only one that has wished that the hose wasn't there and it was out of the way. It seems to get in the way a lot. Post your feedback.

Im sure with a lot of trial and error it would be possible.  If you have ever seen an Invert Mini, they have no external hoses.  It would probably be really difficult on a 98 because you will have to find some way around the whole trigger/sear assembly which is almost impossible.

Haha, I just got the urge to buy one.  It kinda sucks, because I just recently bought a gun and it wasnt worth what I paid for it... just kinda an impulse buy, and if I hadnt bought the gun I definitly couldve bought one of these.

Yomillo I love your sig pic!!

_______________
Ya I've though about doing it too.  And I've got plenty of feedback.  Here's what I want to do... (I'm not trying to hijack your thread, just give you an idea of the work involved in running air through a marker).

When I get my scepter launcher (if the guy sells it to me) I'm going to try to run the launchers hose through the front of my 98 and then have it come down through the front handle and out the ex-chamber towards my asa. (I'd remove the chambers from the ex-chamber).

The gun hose that gives air to the gun also is directed to the ex-chamber so I'd have two hoses going through the ex-chamber.  The problem is the vertical adapter would be in the way of the launcher hose, so I'd drill a massive hole through the top of the VA then I'd run the launcher hose through the front of the gun, through the newly drilled open vertical adapter (which is in the front grip) and then through the ex-chamber towards the asa.

The other hose feeds air to the gun, runs from the ASA and goes towards the powertube.  But as I mentioned this hose is directed at the ex-chamber too.  Considering I can't just hook it to the ex-chamber because I drilled a hole in the top of the VA I need to run a longer hose right into the inside of ex-chamber (just like the launcher hose) and up through the front grip towards the powertube.  So I'd cut off the long piece of the vertical adapter that directs air to the powertube and run the hose through there.

This is an easier project than you want to take on... I can't imagine how hard yours is going to be; especially trying to get by the trigger assembly.  It's going to be alot of work as you might have understood so good luck!

Lots of older guns have that design.  If you don't want to spring for a Mini, buy an old Tippmann.

I just wanted to post me and my friends idea about a internal hose. I might buy a $40 Stock Model 98 and try it. My friend has 1 and needs to get rid of it. Should I buy it?

have you ever seen the old Tippmann Prolites, the hose runs inside the gun and the line comes out but it is a trigger guard, it would be the only way that i could think of to do it, and as of the mini my friend has one and they are rediculously small and light, if you have ever held an 07 ego the mini is actually lighter and the only gun out currently lighter than the mini is the PE SL74 Ego

SL's, Pro Am's and Pro-Lites have ASAs like that.

Maybe the trigger frame from a Pro Lite/Am would fit on an A5 or 98 with ghetto modification but you still would need to work with the gas lines.

I love the look of an ASA in the grip.

Old Tippmanns use the airline as the trigger guard.
