You could use Vegetable oil to oil your O- rings and stuff....I told him he was stupid because it could rust your gun. Has anybody ever tried this before? Is it safe to use on your gun? If so tell me why.

So you gave him a false fact so you could try and justify why he was wrong?

It will not rust your gun and will probably work, but it will gunk up your gun and unless you have a Tippmann and use the oil very lightly it will lead to its downfall.

I dont suggest it, but it will be a short term fix

Vegetable oil WILL work as a lubricant for your marker.  It will not be as efficient as synthetic or mineral oils and will require more cleaning and maintenance because of the tendancy of vegetable oils to become rancid.  As for rusting, can you tell me what parts on your marker, besides the screws, are iron or steel?

Hey, my marker won't fire . . . and it smells bad.

Try EVOO, it smells better, has a higher viscocity, and works well with frozen peas.

Horseradish is the real secret weapon. The fresher and less processed horseradish will last longer around the o-rings.

Hmmmm.  Speaking for myself, I really don't want to know any further details about what goes on between you and your markers.

Vegetable oil would work, briefly. Then it will congeal and form this gooey mass that wont come off.

Well, the reason it would rust is because I had one of the cheap Wal-mart produced guns at the time and it rusted my internals...

I've never seen a paintball gun made out of Iron or Steel....

Before my time, for the most part.  Nonetheless, NOT a "cheap Wal-mart produced gun."

Why on earth would anyone make a paintball marker out of iron or steel? The pressures generated by typical operation aren't nearly great enough to justify using these materials over aluminum.

Might as well make it out of cast iron while we're at it....

I like how you refer to his as your STUPID friend, and then ask if he was right or not...
