Hi,
Sorry for this probable faq but I only have a moment...

Ok, I have a new A-5 with a new flatline barrel.

Past couple of games I seem to have chopped a paintball...annoying.

What's the most likely cause? One thing I have thought of is that I may be
using the paintball advance button next to the cyclone feed when I don't
need to be, is that likely the cause?

Ok, thanks.

uhh...the only kind we're allowed to use at the field I play on: Kick'n
paintballs or something like that.

(thanks)

Well, how many chops have you been getting per day/game. Also was it cold during the time that you were playing?

The flatline likes small paint.

You shouldn't have to manually advance the feeder at any time. Just pull the trigger.

Make sure you're not running out of air. The first symptom of low air is the feeder gets erratic.

^^ except for your first cocking, then it will go on its own(unless your out of air) hmm(dumb question) is your barrel clean? i personaly do not like kick'in at all. it could just be the paint buy some from walmart or your local store and try it out it could just be the paint

Hey everyone,
Thanks for your helpful responses!

So, the days I was playing on and getting chopping...it was 35-45
degrees
out and very humid. The barrel is new and the paintballs were cheap...and
maybe I was advancing balls when I didn't need to

So maybe I'll just work on that stuff...

Also, as long as I have your attention...when I get a chop, is the best way
to clean the barrel on the field just to 1) buy some quick release screws
=) 2) unscrew the flatline 3) Squeegee? Wasn't sure if a water wash is
required for flatline....also, should I use one of those fuzzy stick-type
cleaners? Just seems like a squeegee alone might not be good enough...
thanks again!

Yes

NO!  Only use a squeegee.

35* - 45* ???  Paint hates cold weather.  That's probably your problem right there.

Just to reiterate: you don't need to manually advance balls - ever.

humidity causes paintballs the swell, and the flatline and cyclone like small paint. it likely was caused by the paint swelling, or just the fact that it was junky paint.

Ya over all it sounds like you were playing on a day when the weather was crappy and not allowing anything to work with you. Either way try it again and use some of the instructions given and you should have better luck.
