well some of you might remember my accidental winning bid on Ebay that resulted in me having to shell out $120 or so for a cocker.
well ive decide it would be a nice project for me. im going to try to keep it on a budget of $250 including the price of the gun.

im going to post updates for it as i mill/destroy the body. 
a shot of the milling i did to the area where the barrel screws in, not alot of progress. hopefully tonight i can get my hands on a radius cutter  .-------------

oh yes there are plans, for the body. most of the budget is going towards an anno job. or ill strip the anno and paint it my self  . as for upgrades im kinda taking it one step at a time, but definatly a unimount. mabey if i can get a really really good deal on some sort of electro trigger frame ill go that route.-------------

actually made some visible progress last night. despite having to evacuate the shop twice for tornado warnings, and getting hit in the wrist with a golf ball sized piece of hail. does anybody know where i could get a socket to get that ASA off? any ideas on anno colors. -------------

^umm... you do know you can design the ano how you want it... I was probably going to have most of it Red(DUH!) and on one side have the soviet hammer and sickle on one side and have a picture of Stalin on the other side.

the socket to get the vert asa is 1/4" 12pt. if you dont have a socket kit with one already go to sears probly under a buck.

pretty much done with the milling on the body, i might do some fish bone type milling next week some time. now im just waiting for my parts to come in and hopefully sometime by the middle of the month or early next month itll be out for anno. -------------

vise grips and a big ass vise. ithe vise grips carved up the feed neck pretty good but i wanted a clamping one anyway. -------------

Screw-on feedneck FTW. That milling is pretty neato. I would have rather seen it half-blocked, but that is definately different. As for Odd, he does AMAZING work. The Nightmare Before Christmas Emag was gorgeous. -------------

Definitely an '03. I owned a black one.
I noticed Reb saying that you got the body for $120? If so, you massively overpayed, because you can pick up full '03s, generally upgraded, for about $150... |

so i got some parts finally, ANS QEVs, pump arm, valve, and flush mount front block bolt. i put my spare ram on because i snapped the fitting out of the red one trying to put the QEVs on. i only need a few minor parts for it like a feed neck, and mabey a race frame. well see how the E-bay bid goes. i cant send it out to ODD untill the 25th. but i definatly know what i want for anno and laser. -------------

I'm not really a fan of the red/blue scheme. That being said, I really like it. It looks great, I can't wait to see it finished! Furthermore, anyway you could give a more detailed explanation of how you removed your feedneck and how you plan to put a locking one in there? I would like to do it if I can do it with little cost. |

i was never a fan of the red/blue color scheme either thats why im going with a black body. as for the feed neck i just put the body in a vise clamped on with a pair of vise grips and twisted. at the time i was assuming that the feed neck was threaded, so im just going to buy a clamping feed neck for a cocker. if it comes threaded i guess im going to have to order a tap through a local industrial supply company. -------------

thats the basic pack. it took alot longer than i expected, because sometimes they get backed up and dont accept any new work for a while, and then when they do they get bombarded. but as you can see its definatly worth the wait. -------------
