i would say get yourself a clamping feedneck, some form of high end hopper like a VLocity jr. or Halo B, a decent HPA, a QEV, CP trigger and a drop forward. and mabye a L7 bolt upgrade.

that wouldnt come out to too much money

A Halo B will suit you just fine. If you insist on not getting one, look into a 12v Revvy. It doesnt matter if you're a woodsballer or a speedballer, you want the best out of your gun. Look into a 68/4500 tank, as it's a comfortable size that yields a good amount of shots per fill. For a barrel, good accuracy comes from good paint-to-bore matching, so whatever barrel you choose, unless it's a kit, make sure you have access to the right sized paintballs. I would reccomend a JJ Ceramic or a Freak Kit. Other than that, it's up to you, as you know what your gun needs. A QEV is a good idea as is a new feedneck. The Redz Camlock is a ncie one.

Halo B
68/4500 HPA
CCM no pro rise
some sort of blade trigger
QEV
new bolt
new ASA
either a kit like the evil pipe kit of freak if you want to pay a fortune.

After all that, you will have a superb marker. Of course you could probably buy all that used for half or less than what it would be new.

Do yourself a favor and get used. A new Ion just isn't worth the money.

what i was thinking about was getting an halo b for 50 bucks from a friend and a crossfire 68/45 for 100 from anoher friend a low profile clamping feed neck a all american because i shot my friends and it was quiet and the most accurate thing ever.but im not gonna get a new board or trigger mods because i can admit i dont have very fast finger so ill just take the magnets out and see if i need a new trigger

I have never had experience with the stock triggers, but people say they aren't easy to walk at all.

How will taking the magnets out help you improve the trigger? The magnets are what pushes the trigger back into place, you need them. Besides triggers are a relatively inexpensive upgrade.

I suggest looking into a used promaster or Lasoya Promaster on ebay. you can find them going for around the same price as ions and they are much better markers (better board - tourney modes, uncapped ROF, etc, better trigger - 4 way adjustable, as well as other better features).

Just give up, ive pushed promasters alot, and no one listens.  They see ION ION ION everywhere, and they dont go for the better performance, just the name.  They are one of the most under-rated guns out there.  Im thinking about getting one now.

Cool down. Promasters are known for noid problems. The Ion noid lasts a very long time. The whole Ion itself lasts a very long time. Promasters just won't give you what you need.

Okay you have to ask what upgrades to put in an Ion and I am a "noob" since I said push instead of pull? I guess that is so logical even though I have been playing for years. Simply stated the magnets relate to the trigger pull/ return (as in the amount of force needed to pull the trigger, but also how quickly the trigger returns to the original position). I can't understand why you would spend money on other Ion parts but be unwilling to simply replace the trigger if you don't like it, its a relatively inexpensive upgrade, your thought process is obtuse.

Besides didn't you just post a question about Ion operating pressure...and i answered it with a helpful and civil response..."noob"?

You should, or you could probably find a used freestyle for a little bit more.

By that logic, Timmies have bad noids and they suck for the same reason.

Never been a fan of Timmies either. Promasters regs are terrible from what I hear also. I really just don't trust ICD that much. They need to improve upon themselves to get a truly respectable name.

I just got a new trigger, it's a cp blade and it's so much better than the stock trigger. I would definitely think about getting a new trigger.

Also, I got the qev but I haven't had a chance to really test it out but it should help with efficiency/rof/less drop off. Plus it's less than $20. Definately worth the money from what I've heard.
