That is one of the most customized 98's ive ever seen, great job Charlie, she looks like no other, great mod.

p.s I think this should be in the picture section?

Ya, the body looks amazing I have to give you props on that. But I do have to say that the whole tank/drop setup looks like it would be really annoying, I say you try to make it curved with a bok on the bottom to hold the battery.

doesnt the rear bolt get stuck or scratched with those holes in the reciever, But that gun looks wicked, how many hours you put into it at the the drill press

no drill presses....i'm a machinist now but i made this in high school on a Haas CNC Mill.

and as far as the rear bolt goes...its an E-bolt so they never touch the walls of the gun, but the holes are all carefully de-burred

All those holes and you didn't put a center feed on it, thats kinda funny.

It all looks great, but my only suggestion is to possibly have the Co2 tank so its closer to the gun. So its a little more compact.

I would hate to clean that. I would probably result to stripping it down to just the receiver halves and rinsing it.

Nor I, I don't understand what or how it is beneficial to you..I appreciate the uniqueness and work involved, gj.

I hope you have a really long anti-siphon hitting the upper most part of that tank. Otherwise you are drawing straight liquid into your E-bolt regulator ASA, and if that reaches your solenoid in liquid form... be prepared to get a new one.

Did you do the body cut-up and debur before the plating job?

Also I see you've chopped a ball. Put a stiffer return spring into your ebolt and increase the input pressure to it. That should definately help you out without the need of any custom work.

Why does it look like you cut the gun into thirds? Are those just lines milled into it or did you actually cut it for some reason?

1) yes i cut it into thirds(so you can access the trigger, board, or front bolt seperately without ripping the whole gun apart...)

2)the reason for the wide stance is for the battery compartment to hold 2 batteries....originally i was going to put a pro-team warp feed on it but they have been out of stock since like 2004...it would have balanced beautifully with the tank on the right and the warp on the left...

3)number 2 is the reason i didnt centerfeed it....not necessary with the warp...

4)the cleaning process is difficult....which is why i avoid breaking balls....but you nailed it ( when it gets gross you strip it to the recievers and rinse em off)

Ok, how the heck does it stay together if it is cut apart? Is it just the half of the screw heads holding it in place or something else?
