The X7 is pretty but it seems like it would be too hard to lug around, it has a large body

No the A5 is not. It is basically the same gun, execpt the A5 has a couple different upgrades and is easier to field strip.

The A5 is a great gun, but a waste of money if you already have an upgraded 98 thats in good condition.

Yeah, might as well just stick with the 98.

The X-7 is the same size as the A-5.  You can take off the magazine and front shroud if you think that's too bulky.

The X-7 actually weighs noticably less than the A-5 (until you start adding crap to it anyway) due to the lightweight magnesium body.

If you're thinking A-5 because of the cyclone feed, the X7's is better. It won't chop if you fire at a higher rate, and the hopper has a noticeably different profile. But I personally prefer the 98 because the fewer the moving parts, the less likely the chance you'll have problems.

Found that out for myself at a local store a few weeks ago. They had one there and I took a look at it. That thing is incredibly light and is very similar to the A5. I view it as an improved version of the A5 rather than a new gun, kind of like the custom pro is to the 98 custom or the 98 custom compared to the old model 98.

In regards to the person who suggested getting an X7 because it has a better cyclone, at this point that would be foolish. He already has a 98 and an A5, the A5 cyclone can be upgraded to be just as good, if not better, than the one on the X7 so the cyclone feed alone is not a good reason to buy an entirely new gun. Also, keep in mind that the X7 is still new so it'll cost a buttload to get one right now. I'm waiting for it to drop down to below $300 before I get one, mostly just because I don't have much money but also because I really don't need another gun. Anyway, the point is, it just doesn't make sense to buy an X7 for the cyclone when you can upgrade your A5 so don't do that. And to answer the original question, they will both have the same accuracy if their using the same air source but the A5 should be able to feed a little faster. If I'm not mistaken, the richochets are supposed feed up to 13 while the cyclone is rated to 16 on the A5 without upgrades. However, if you have no RT or electronics on either gun, good luck hitting that rate of fire .
