A few weeks ago my dog who is about a year old walked into one of our beaver traps and lived! We were outside cooking burgers and my sisters asks where is the dog. We go looking for her and we hear my sister scream. We run down the driveway and find our dog with its head caught in a beaver trap with her eyes rolled back in her head. I ran back to the house to get the tools for the traps while my dad got it pulled out a little and shoved his foot in the trap so she could breathe. We pulled her out and she caught her breath we went to the house and a few hours later she was fine. The next day she had a little swelling but besides that she was completely normal. I was amazed the trap got her perfectly around the neck.

this is what the beaver trap looks like

when something moves the wires sticking down it snaps closed. What really amazed me was that we have killed many beavers with these and most of the kills are instant.

What kind of dog? A larger animal than a beaver could easily survive that.

Hah! There is responsibility for you.

First the family pet, next the neighbor's toddler.

We unfortunately don't have CCW's in Canada.

Our gun laws suck.
