Yep, I got bored again and decided to make my sl-68 II look like a shotgun. Its nowhere near completion, this is just a rough mock-up. I will probably just use what I have now as a template and build a much nicer body.
I plan to make the front of the body flow better (connecting to the barrel). I am also going to make a new pump handle. I just stuck the sl-68 handle on there for looks.
**Update**
So I worked on the body a bit more last night (by a bit I mean till about 3am). Then I painted it. I just assembled it and I couldn't be more happy. It needs a little bit more work, but I wouldn't have a problem taking it to the field as is.
And I'm sure someone might as this, so yes, that is my pool.

Yea, keep in mind (skillet) that it will get a black paint job. Plus, not so many jagged edges it will flow much better.
Hope to finish it this week.

I would have laughed if some wind came and blew it into the pool. Otherwise, it looks good.

It looks great finished. Are you going to do anything with the pump or leave it as-is?

I don't know, I kind of like the look of the SL-68 pump. If I can think of something that looks better I might change it.

This is going to sound pretty stupid, but I used black "Grill & Stove" paint. The parts are made out of aluminum (and one plastic part), so I did a really quick test to see if it would work better than Rustoleum. Well it did.

That's not stupid at all, that's very good thinking. Most grills are made of aluminum to expedite heat transfer and reduce weight. Paint for them would have to be formulated to stick to aluminum. You've given me another option for my next paint job. Thanks.

I kinda wanna see a better side shot. The top one is silhouetted, so I can't really see it.

As requested, a better side shot.
Just to throw in there, my last little touch ups will be to cut a very small slot so that the safety isn't under the body, and to file down/smooth where the body connects to the stock.

Its a stock I had for my m98. It took some cutting/drilling to get it on there. Oh and I might mention, no SL-68 was hurt in the making of this gun (no actual modding of the SL-68).

Is it just stuck on there or is it welded.( can you weld aluminum.)

Well I did say that I didn't actually mod the gun, which would probably rule out welding. You will notice the screw/bolt at the back of the gun, that holds the stock on (firmly). It doesn't wiggle, but its very easy to take off and I did very little modification to the gun. I can tell you how to attach it just to the gun too with only modification to the stock if you would like.

vary nice job on makeing the gun look real, even better that you dident have to mod the gun to get things on it, 10/10.
i did the same thing for my a5-ak, i dident have to mod it and i made the parts from scratch (see my sig).
i was looking around for a good pump, so i think ill get a sl-68.

Is it just stuck on there or is it welded.( can you weld aluminum.) | yes, you can weld aluminum
However, you cannot weld tippmanns due to them being an alloy.
You would have to solder it somehow.
And the gun looks great.

This is one of the coolest mods i'v ever seen. I have an sl68 II that i'd also like to mod. Can you please tell me what parts you used or where you got them from? Awesome job.
