It would depend on what upgrades went with the Ion. I dont really like Mini's, they're too small, imo. I would go with the Redz Ion.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

If you can be happy with the Ion as is get the Ion.  If you plan on dumping money into the Ion than get the Mini.

I've shot the Ion and judging by the Mini video on youtube the mini sounds faster.  It was VERY easy to cap the Ion.

The logic is a bit fuzzy as to why you'd buy that over the offerings in the $400 range but it's your decision.  How much is the redz gun?

Go with the Mini, they seem like nice, simple, fast, tiny guns.

How was it breaking in?  Did you stick the spring in a vice grip like some people say to do?

Last time i went paintballing at a park, this kid probly the same age as i am had a mini, it was just as good as this ion this other kid had, but the mini is to small for me, i would go with the ion.

I'd go with the Mini. I used one for a few points at an XBall practice a few
weekends ago and it ripped. Really light, took some getting used to but
once I got a feel for it it was mowing people down.

I'd go Mini.
