Well, here is a picture of my paintball gun a friend and I put together over the weekend. Though this is a stupid idea, and will not go far at all, we have decided to put a piece of mesh into the barrel and fill it with paintballs. To shoot this gun, you: 1. Jam potato (or whatever, zucchinis work well) into the barrel with the end part of a broom or whatnot so that it is firm and 4/5 down the in there. 2. spray a generous amount (4-5 seconds) of hairspray into the end peice) 3. Shut the bottom tightly by turning the end cap with the threads. 4. Press down on the red ignitor and Boom! Um, not safe with explosions. Its best to make a paintball one with pneumatic firing, but you already knew that. Make sure you get a very open mesh, or the force will be severely hindered. |

| You should have gone with pneumatic. I have mine sitting in my shop with a 3" wide barrel I still have yet to try out as like a "riot tamer" sort of unit. Pneumatic is so much nicer then combustion too. No misfires, pretty much free to operate, and in my opinion, safer. |

^^^besides using combustion gunks up the barrel and needs cleaning after a while also you cant regulate it as much as using air. -------------

Combustion are more fun and such but a field wont let you use a combustion and if i got shot with a potatoe id kick ur a$$.

that gun can shoot a potato through your roofs over hang with the hair spray, i know this cause i accidently did it, the things powerful, i dunno how it would work with paintballs though id hate to be the one that gets shot by it, make a vid of you shootin it at the dude you hate the most and post it for us
p.s. dont kill him with the potato use the paintballs |

Ya good idea but a field won't let you use it not only because it's combustion but you can't regulate how fast it shoots. But it is deffinately a fun thing to mess with.

Well a combistion powered potatoe gun would fire a plume of flame, and have no way to control the FPS. Shoot a metal wall if you have it. If the shots go through and the wall was in good condition before that, don't shoot it at people.

i have two that run on combustion i would not use them for paintball but there fun to shoot there the same basic design as yours and ether is even better than hairspray only use a small amount not even one second its more finicky but once you get it to work its great |
