I'm nearly done with this thing, all in all i dont think its half bad for being made by a 15 year old.

Nicely done. I like what you did with the Palmer's. Do you plan on covering the hole where the front grip once was? Also, are you leaving it raw or are you going to paint? Specs?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that this is one of the nicest 98's I've seen.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Thanks .

For the front grip hole, i'm thinking of making some sort of rifle foregrip, like an A5A2 grip, but less bulky.

As for Paint, im thinking i may leave it the raw metal, sand it a bit so it's matte, then spray a matte clear coat over it, it'd almost be like a grey.

Specs are basically what you see there, Cyclone, JCS combat stock, Palmers stabilizer, Proto 1 peice, Crossman red dot site, and homemade wooden grips.

EDIT: Oh, and nice avatar :P

If you do do it, don't use the same vertical adapter as the one i have, it and the palmers dont like eachother.

Best bet would be to go with the V/A they sell on the palmers website.

Ironically that is what is up on my other screen (two flat 17"s are awesome for forum and buying at the same time!). It's very tempting right now...

Very nice. How hard were the grips to make?

Also, how do you like the stock?

The grips were fairly straight forward to make, just draw out your design onto a piece of wood (It would be easiest to trace around existing panels). Then after that I cut out the rough shape with a saw, and then fine tuned it with a belt sander. If you have the tools it’s a breeze.

As for the stock, I love it. It’s very solid, there’s a very small side to side wobble, which is to be expected from a folding stock. Other than that it’s perfect. It is also made completely out of metal, for those of you like me, who are terrified of plastic.

EDIT: USE HARDWOOD!

I know not to use something like plywood lol. I do have a piece of Cherry lying around from when I was in woodshop.... hmm....

I like the bare look, a bit too much like a real fire arm for me though.  nice work on the grips, are you planning to oil them or run clear coat?

Should have used acetone to get that paint off. That way you don't have all the scratch marks. A lot less work too.

It looks good. You can kinda hold it like a speedball marker and it probably balances out with the tank.

It's alright for what it is, gets the job done. It was made for a BB gun though, so I dont know if it will withstand a hit.

I'm going to try to get a really dark stain, then apply some varathane or something.

I actually tried spray painting it before, which didn't work out too well. I took off the paint with paint thinner afterwards, the scratches are from the sanding i did before painting.

Naw, the woods is the only way to go :P. I haven't used it yet in a game, its basically there for that small, SMG look.

You chould have used acetone first. Then use some duplicolor self etching spraypaint primer (it holds onto alluminum really well) and then put what ever color you want onto it. Then put a few coats of duplicolor top coat. All can be found at AutoZone (other auto shops) or even Super Wal-Mart.
