im trying to turn my 98 custom into one bad mofo.... i was wondering if i got a low pressure kit on my gun will i need to buy tourney balls cause you know they pop much easier and with the psi being around 300 my gun would go from a high pressue marker to a low pressure im pretty sure and also will i be able to still use co2 or will i have to go with nitrogen, and also will the kit still do its thing like its supposed to with my flatline? ( i dont think it would affect a thing but just to be safe... yall know better than me) any advise would be much appreciated, thank yall

You can stick with co2 but you will need a good reg like a palmer stabalizer to lower the input pressure.

The lpk isn't really worth the extra money. There is not enough benefits for the price you pay.

I was looking at the same thing, e-rok.  I am not going to lp on my a5 or 98, there is alot of costs vs. minimal benefits

You use the same paintballs regardless of high pressure or low pressure...it still pushes the paintballs to the same velocity - 280-300 fps.

Low pressure markers can handle more brittle paint because they aren't using one huge burst of air like a Tippmann. The lower pressure uses dwell on electro pneumatic guns to keep the air coming out for an extended period of time to reach 300 fps.

I've never found any paintballs I can't use in any of my 10+ Tippmanns. Only CO2, all high pressure and nothing but Tippmann parts except the barrels.

Most paint out for public use can be used on any gun with most of the balls not breaking in the chamber. When ever you go to a tourney, sometimes they will get the most brittle paint for the teams to use and only some of the high-end guns can shoot it w/o breaking every other ball. Marbalizer, all-stars, and other paints like X-Ball gold are all thick enough for a tippmann. All-stars are terrible when they are old because they get hard and deformed and never break on impact. I think the high-end Diablo have thin shells.

ok tourney balls are way more brittle than other types of balls. all because when they mark someone they want to make sure they are marked. whats the point of shooting someone if your ball bounces off who your trying to tag. higher end guns can shoot more brittle paint bacause of the way the air is released from the gun in a longer burst as opposed to your less advanced guns which rid of air in short powerful bursts, but hey your the mod so ill bet i can learn alot more from you then you could learn from muah
