I recently got my new Smart Parts Epiphany in the mail tuesday afternoon. I've been really excited because after I paintballed with my old Tippmann A5, I decided that it just wasn't what I wanted for speedball. So I sold it and purchased the Epiphany along with a Halo B rip drive w/ the V35 board. All I need to do now is save up and get a Nitro tank.

Also, for the sake of not trying to start an arguement or anything in that matter, I choose to buy the Epiphany because personaly, I like the way the gun looks, feels and pretty much satisfied with it overall. Yeah, I could of gotten a Rail or a Mini, but I choose this.

Note* I am not Nemisis2099, I am his brother. I'm only using his account because I cannot register my own at the moment. He still owns a crappy A5... hehe just kidding.

Anyways, here are the pictures(Excuse the bluriness, my friends digital camera sucks):

Damn picture quality suck!

The Epiphany is an Ion, just a different class of Ion. Instead of plastic, the Epiphany is made of magnesium alloy. Also, it's been cosmetically reworked. I'm not gonna lie though, I don't know about electronics. I personally like the way they look. Wouldn't buy one though. I disapprove of SP...

As far as shooting, I don't really know. I did; however, test it out with a few dry fires and some paintballs using CO2 via my remote coil which actually worked pretty well. I don't think I will continue to use it, though, just for the simple reason of safety for the gun.

Also, I'd like to point out that before I bought the gun I read a lot of reviews on pbreview.com and I noticed that the majority of the people said that the feedneck could be improved because it was loose. Well, I don't know what hoppers they were using but I'll tell you that with my Halo B it was a very tight fit. That hopper isn't going no where. I ended up ordering a SP Q-Lock Feedneck for it during the time I ordered the gun and now I regret having ordered it because I find that I won't really need it.

Anyway, I'm extremely satisfied with the Epiphany and I expect her to treat me well on the field.

I think you will be satisfied with it. I'm not sure if they have a qev, but I am almost positive they have the firebolt in there. The firebolt gives you no recoil what so ever. If you mess with the electronics and get a qev, you should be able to fire the Epiphany from anywhere from 1 click to 5 clicks. The trigger looks to have rubber on it, I would suggest something that is a full piece of metal. I like New Designs Blade trigger. It looks good, feels good, and is very easy to walk. When tinkering with the board, make sure your bps is all the way up, I got my Ion used and the person that had it before me didn't realize that it was way down.

Have fun with it, I am sure you will be proud with your purchase.

Hey, RoboCop, do you mean the rate of fire? If so, how will I know when it's at it's maximum?

It's a nice looking Ion, that's about it. Color scheme looks cool though.

When it reaches its maximum, like the manual mentions, one of the lights won't blink anymore.

Thanks, a lot, RoboCop [Edit!*Didn't mean to rhyme. (Bad choice of words - Happy WGP?).. lol]. I'm just really trying to get the feel for this gun and get used to working with it.

Note* To safely have the ROF to it's maximum, wouldn't I have to tweak with the Dwell aswell? And if so, at what setting should my Dwell be at?

I don't see the pun?

Anyway, not what I would have gotten for the money (I really want a mini, love shooting them), but nice none the less.  Be sure to let us know how it performed on the field.

Will do. I'm just trying to get the market set right before I even use it. Hopefully, when RoboCop gets the chance to respond (No pressure, Robo! :P ), I'll have some performance data on it ASAP.

nice gun

Adjust your reg. 10-20 below recommended psi and then drive your dwell down as low as it can go while maintaining proper function of the gun.  If that doesn't work in the field bump up your dwell one blink at a time until you're happy.

Just keep an eye on your reg. and watch for creep.  Watch the gauge while you hammer the trigger and make a mental note of what it was doing.  If it creeps over the recommended max psi lower reg psi input more and then you may have to raise dwell 1 blink at a time until it functions properly.

Just remember that thing's need to get broke in too.  From what I understand, if that's the same reg. as an Ion they need quite a bit of break-in time and are actually very nice, simple regs.

If your fps is high lower dwell first if fps is low raise reg. pressure first but don't let it go any higher than recommended psi.

Be careful with that c02 and get an hpa tank.

Let me know if you want to try some other tweaks after you get used to the gun.

Sweet Marker.

I just bought an Ion two weeks ago, as soon as I get back from Basic I'm gonna upgrade it to epiphany level. Here is a pic of it with my new Empire Loader.
sorry about the pic being so small.
