My gas line on my 98 Custom ACT broke today. I sent a email to badlandspaintball where i bought it from and to tippmann. I am waiting for emails from both right now. I saw on http://www.badlandspaintball.com/airsystems/hoses.html - http://www.badlandspaintball.com/airsystems/hoses.html  that they have a 9" steel braided hose and was wondering if that would work? That wil be my last resort though.

Tippmann should give you a replacement part if it failed on its own. They offered to do the same when it appeated the threads in my velocity adjuster stripped after the screw shot out. Turned out i didn't need one.

the gas line broke on one of the fitted ends. I fell over and it just popped open and it emptied my whole C02 tank. That was freaking cold on the hand. It was just spraying out of the whole in front of the c02 drop thing.

oh well im not shure if the 9 inch will work... see if you can fix the old one if not then measure the old one and buy one the same size... i think if its too small it wont work cuz steel braided isnt very flexible

The decision to use the 9" braid you have on hand isn't one that you need input from anyone else for. If it fits, it fits! If it doesn't, it doesn't. How in any way does it differ, other than possible length, than the original part?

Tippmann is pretty good about replacing parts, even ones broken by klutzy players .
