I have a Response Trigger installed on my A-5 and it is dialed in to the sweet spot. When I run the marker off my remote (Pro Caps remote line with slide check,) I get nothing -- shoots as it would stock, without the upgrade. If I run the marker with a CO2 tank directly, I have no issues and it works fine. What gives?
 Any suggestions? Thank you! |

It pressurizes and I've used it with both my A-5 and BT-4 Assault -- so it works. But when I am using it, my RT shoots like a normal semi-auto. I've tried "dialing" the RT in while I have the remote connected but I get nothing -- single shots. If I switch out to a direct connection with a CO2 tank, it works like a charm. ------------- Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. |

| Check the small o-ring at the top of the piston unit in the pistol grip. It is just behind the trigger assembly. The slightest nick in this o-ring will cause your response trigger to act as if you didn't have one. Drove me crazy before I figured it out. I needed a magnifyer to see the nick. Mine would work fine with a completely full tank but after half a hopper it would just be semi auto. Could be your remote lowers the pressure enough to cause the same malfuntion. Be sure to give the o-ring a coat of lithium grease before you put the upper receiver on. |

If it is working without the remote and not with it, it can only be that the remote lowers the pressure enough to not let the r/t function properly. The remote might be letting the liquid co2 expand so much that the pressure drops. The r/t for some reason works best with co2 than with HPA. This is most likely because the co2 is at a higher pressure when it has a lot of liquid in the tank. What size tank do you use? A 20 oz should let you be able to keep a high enough pressure. |

I am currently running a standard Pro Caps coiled remote with slide check and a 20oz CO2 tank.
I was going to take my A-5 and remote to my local airsmith today and get their opinion, since all my o-rings are intact (in the marker, piston, and remote slide.) Before I was going to leave to take it in, for S & giggles, I attached the remote, pulled the trigger, and had no issues; it shot like it should. Is it possible that the weather will play an effect on my remote as it does the air source? Are there remotes available with a larger diameter hose? Maybe that would resolve my issue.
I guess another option would be to look into adding a expansion chamber or regulator. ------------- Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. |
