sand man, how do you like the GT? i am thinking of getting it, but afew things are holding me back. number one, the insurance is steep for a 16 year old male, but second and most important, how is it in the snow? like can you get around in the snow at all, or is it like 1/2 inch and you can't get out of your drive way? obviously it's a light rear wheel drive, so i know it won't be great by any means, but if you take your time can you get around in it? one last thing, it gets about 20 miles per gallon, right? i can;t find the MPG on ford's site. i would get over the insurance issue, and my parents said they would help me pay for insurance, and i have 10 grand in my bank, and will probably have another couple thousand by the end of the summer, so i really want to shoot for a nice used mustang for my first car, it's just the snow issue holding me back.

1. Expect to spend right about $30,000 on a new Mustang GT despite what the commercials say. If you buy a used 2006, you might be able to find something in the low 20k range. 2. Snow driving sucks. No traction at all on hills, so easy to get yourself in trouble. We haven't tried putting a bunch of weight in the rear, but with the winter we had in Colorado this last year, it stayed in the driveway about half the time. A half inch probably wouldn't stop you, as you can burn down to the pavement if you need to... But much over a solid inch and you could be in trouble. 3. MPG depends on the driver and it takes a little while to break in. For the first 5k miles, it averaged around 18 MPG for my wife and 20 MPG for me. Now it's around 19 for her and 21 for me with a half and half city-to-higway driving mixture. Remember that you'll have to put Premium gas in it tho, or it's bad for the cylinders. 4. They've managed to make the new Mustang feel a great deal like the classic Mustangs of the 60's and 70's. Feels like a raw, "pony" car when driven. Very tight handling, almost as good as the 'Vette we traded on my car. Good luck, man. Buying cars is a sticky business. ------------- Real Men Love Cheeses |

Thanks Sammy, but yeah, with the 7 I thought outside of the box, I didn't want to do what EVERY 7 owner was doing to their car. As for the 5, I will be keeping it within "BMW guidelines" was thinking of a VF s/c, AC Schnitzer 19's, M Tech front and rear bumpers.

I wasn't playing the race card, I just thought his question was a really ignorant question and it shouldn't have even been asked. As for the velocity, I had the decent thought of turning it to what it needed to be, so I was looking out for the safety for myself and others since I was trying to adjust it. Yes, I know you guys will say "go to a local store and have them do it" Well, you can't always trust them, Paintball Central in Charlotte NC installed my R/T and told me they adjusted my FPS and when I went to play at their field, it clocked at around 380 something, so luckily I did go play there because I usually play woodsball and we do not have FPS meters with us, so do not make it sound like I came on here asking "hey guys, how can I turn up my velocity to the point where I can break car windshields" It was the total opposite.

Understood he asked out of curiosity. But I think it was a ridiculous question since this is a thread are about vehicles, not skin color. But my question about turning down my velocity was also out of curiosity, since it was about my paintball gun and this is assumingly a paintball forum? correct? And since a Mod did think I was wrong for asking that question, I did pm him to apologize for asking such a "wrong question" But I asked that since this is a forum, forums that would be used for questions being answered, but I guess on my part it was my ignorance in not knowing what was right or wrong to ask. jb -------------

Original 1980's Schwinn Stingray II (Pics not of my bike, mines a different color) 1968 Schwinn Stingray coaster model, no Krate or Stik-Shift (Yet again, not mine but same color) 2004 Schwinn Stingray (Newer Edition) Green with Black/Gold flames. (Not my picture, and mine is slightly different)

I've been a LONG term fan of Vipers and anything associated with them. Especially the 2000 model, which in my opinion, looked the best. If I had 50k to spend on a truck, that would be it. Performance wise, I enjoy it basically how it is. I've done very minor tweeking. A new intake to breathe, and a reflash of the computer to get rid of throttle lag (these cars are fly-by-wire, and the stock setting sucks) 
And a new Aero Turbine exhaust for a little better flow. 
It has balls for what it is, and I'm not a dumb 18 year old kid trying to race people on every street I can to show how much better I am. So no need to step up for the V8, I'll keep gas consumption down as well as my insurance. But no car is complete for me without some good tunes! 
And no, this isn't for rap. I designed and built those boxes myself as the trunk isn't flat, it's stepped. And the bass settings is more mid than low. This system is made for Slayer and DragonForce. Double Bass peddle insanity, the punch is crisp and hard. Not a rumble. Just gotta find a new alternator for these cars that isn't overpriced like Stinger. very nice i was lookin into gettin a new stang like that but i bought an '86 and now i have a ton of money to fool around with. looks like u got a new one and still had a lot of money too fool around with too haha... is that a corvette next to ur mustang in pic 3? it kinda looks like a mid 70s vette but im not too sure -------------
