I think to get most supplies you can order bulk feild start up packages. on http://www.badlandspaintball.com - www.badlandspaintball.com they sell the stuff you need to rent out guns. For the stuff you need to actually build the coarse just go to wood store and buy some plywood and cut it into your desired shapes. FYI if you want to get your hands on a bulk C02 tank to fill tanks call a welding company and rent one from them.

Oh ya, I know where I can get the toys, but the legal stuff is what Im concerned about. I saw the bulk stuff from badlands and thats where this kinda came from. I made a few different courses around where I live and they are real fun, but kids keep wrecking it. So me and a couple friends are gonna step it up and make our own. We wanna lease/buy the land, put fencing around it, and start a business. Our plan is to ref at a local course for a year or so and get our business plan set up from seeing what players want and what their course already gives them. ------------- Custom Pro. All Stock. I am not sure about the legal stuff. If there are any courses near you go and ask them what they had to do to become legal. You could mail in a letter to the local gov and ask them about it. -------------

The very first thing I'd do if you're serious about this, is head straight to your town hall and find out what sort of things need to be done to stay in compliance with your local laws. If you already OWN property, then you're one giant step ahead. Buying property will be a massive hurdle in that land ain't cheap. One thing that'll have to be considered, even if you do have land: any structures you'll have. Does your area require a building permit in order to have anything constructed? Now, look at insurance. Call an existing field, tell them you're thinking of starting something up, and try to find out who their insurance carrier is. Some insurance companies might not touch you with a ten foot pole- others might charge you premiums that are through the roof. Shop around. It's not nearly as easy as grabbing a bunch of friends and running off into the woods. ------------- ? |
