What would you consider to be your strongest moral or value that you live by? Edit: Mine would probably be to never hit/abuse a women/girl. Or my new found sense of Honesty -------------

i dont know if this would be classified as a value or moral, but somthing i try to live by... I try to not do somthing just because a majority of people do it or belive it. Its realllly hard and we all fall victim to it, but i try to stay clear of letting propaganda, gossip, etc... effect my life. it can be a large scale and small scale, for example i dont choose my music by what the image it would give me if i listend to it, its just not important to me, rather, if it sounds good and/or has good meaning I like it, wether it be dancing rainbow lollipop stars or not. or on a larger scale I try not to take my stand in political views but just watching news, but rather try to look at the larger picture and find middle ground that suits me.

Kindness to others. In the store, I always smile at random people. I can get in a friendly conversation with just about anyone. It is a trait that helps with being a journalist. -------------

hitting women. i make 2 exceptions to this rule however. 1) some big butch chick in a bar who just dumped beer on you bc "your in her regular seat" and she assumed you would know its hers. 2) my ex girlfriends friend always thought it was funny to slap me (pretty damn hard) right across the face for fun, and being my then gf's friend, i couldnt do anything about it so i asked my gf to ask her to stop after i had, to no avail. "its all in good fun" or something to that effect. well now a year later we're long since broken up, and i have to say this girl better not slap me across the face for no damned reason again or im gonna back hand her other than the butch situation in a bar or something i wouldnt ever do more than backhand a girl if she deserved it as i saw in situation 2. |

I don't consider one moral value higher than another, they are all immportant to keep, but that comes from my Christian faith and the fact that no sin is greater than another, which goes the opposite way as well; all moral values are required to be kept and are just as immportant. But i whould have to say that an Honorable person displays the greatest amount of morality than any other person because in order to be Honorable, you have to display integrity, kindness, self-lessness, honesty, humbleness, and courage (which comes in various forms.) -------------  Join the XP Re-Revolution!

not true at all, I am extremly nice to girls, and always talk to them and you know what that got me? i just have TONS of friends that are girls, even my roomates laugh, whenever the a bunch of girls get drunk and come back to rez where do they go? to my room, they always end the night in my room... why? to get lucky? no, get some action? of course not, why you ask? to talk about there night, or I go with them, and just dance with them the whole night cuz im the only guy they know that will actully dance not just stand on the edge drinking a beer acting cool. im not complaining though, i got my girl I guess i should rephrase what i said, if you want to just get laid, then being an a-hole is your best bet ------------- <1 meg sig = bad> |

I think my new one is honesty. But in a way that I tell people how I feel about them. I really refuse to act like I like someone when i really don't. This is sort of recent, but I like how it works out. It really makes the people you don't like go away pretty fast. -------------

It's amazing to me how the "tolerant" are tolerant of everyone with a different color of skin or alternative lifestyle but not of those who believe differently than they do. So who is the arbiter of what people are allowed to think, feel, and believe?
If they're not going to be "tolerant" across the board, they need to stop using that word. Everyone's "tolerant" to what they believe they should be "tolerant" toward. I think there is a distinct difference between our points, seeing as you used the phrase "allowed to." I do not support anything or anyone that would attempt to regulate thought or opinion. I am simply saying that people who are racists, homophobes, etc., are open to receive my scorn. They are allowed to think any way they choose, but they also must accept the consequences of their actions, which may or may not include intolerance from others. -------------
