For all you firework enthusiasts, show what you got. I got my stuff last night.
http://img507.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc01000qi6.jpg">

36 artilleries
48 bottle rockets
400 dynamite
10 jumping jacks
1 hen laying egg
total cost: $29

My friend has a hook-up at one of the stands and normally the artilleries alone would have cost(thanks andy) $60. He gave me a box full of stuff for only $45 but I split the price with a friend. I am satisfied with what I got this year for the price. I almost feel like going back and getting some more stuff.

Meh. I learned my lesson last year.  It's either get plastered, or have fun with fireworks. You don't get to have your pie and eat it too.

We've had a severe drought here so all small fireworks (little dynamites, tanks, etc.) as well as all fireworks with unpredictable or erratic flights (bottle rockets, bees, those black rocket things, etc.) are all banned. All we can have is artillery and the like, and we dropped about $300 on them. Pics tomorrow before we shoot them.

In the city, people were doing fireworks everywhere. Some even did some in the street. Cops won't do anything about it. So many people were doing them that the cops probably thought forget it, too many people are doing them.

By the way, does anyone know anything fun to do with the water dynamite? So far i have made a super dynamite with just short of 100 dynamite powder in a film canister packed with stuff so that is compressed and gives a nice boom. Can't wait to set it off this weekend. I also stuck some of the powder in a straw and closed one side and restricted the other side so that it shoots off.

Not sure what you mean by water dynamite, but if it's anything like firecrackers, catch a frog, light it and shove it in his mouth

My dad went a bit overboard with the fireworks this year. We were planning on just a few good ones, but we ended up getting $750 worth. Only paid $600, due to the buy 2 get 1 free deal.

Load-up pics:

2 mortar style artillery (12 shots each)
7 typical box fireworks (flaming balls with report)
4 massive batteries (giant flaming balls with report)
1 set of 300 Saturn Missiles

Those bottle rockets look really small. This is the last year for having bottle rockets in Texas. Bottle rockets are one of my favorite things to get each July. That and artilleries. Looks like I'll be spending more on artilleries next time.

What did you do in that vid, gunchicken? I'm hoping something like that is what's going to happen with all the powder I got from my dynamite.

Good god California sucks, we got nothing for fireworks here, not bottle rockets, no firecrackers, no artilleries, at least not where I'm at. All we had this year was a couple fountains, some ground blooms, and flashers. Really weak.

Those bottlerockets are normal sized, it was made with flash powder, dynamite is made with something different but the flash powder bomb in my video was equal up to 3/4 of a stick of dynamite. the powder you got from your dynamite is way more highly explosive and the chemicals used will get the F.B.I. to come to your house if you buy it. Its way more explosive.

Good thing none of y'all know where I live. I made a pretty cool contraption with 10 dynamite and a straw. Just took the powder and put it in the straw and packed it. I put it underground and highly packed it. It still busted through the ground and threw dirt everywhere. Pretty cool.

Fireworks are illegal in MA(except for snakes) so having an firearms permit comes in handy. A pound of pyrodex, cannon fuse, and rocket motors can be fun.

As for my stash, no incriminating pics.

Even better one.  Cut a slit in the tennis ball, and grab a big box of matches. Break the match heads off and drop them into the ball. Fill it up completely then use a thin strip of duck tape to seal it up again.  Take said tennis ball o' matches and throw it at a wall/on the beach/etc. and watch it erupt.  Pretty entertaining for a cheap gimmick.

the difference being, ones legal here and ones not. As far as i know theres no place in Canada where you can legally buy a pack of blackcats. Maybe back in the day it was different but nowadays as far as a know firecrackers are still illegal.
