all hose fittings and gas lines are 1/8" NPT.

Gee, Gunchicken, I thought you knew it all! As The Guy said, 1/8" NPT(National Pipe Thread) also sometimes called "tapered pipe." And it is not a bit, it is a tap. If you need to clean up the threads on the hose fitting it requires a die of the same size. But, you then have probably spent as much, or close to, the cost of a new power valve or braid hose.

what the heck is your problem? all i asked for was the size of the threads, not some big explination. how about posting what im asking for instead of telling me what i already know, ok?

LOL!! Telling you what you already know? How is one to fathom the depths of your lack of knowledge? When you refer to a "tap" as a "bit," it seems an indication of more ignorance than just a thread size!
