Just get a better hopper such as an VL evolution or halo b. Other then that your pretty much set to go.

isnt a viewloader or a halo b to fast for a 98 custom???

Nothing is ever too fast for a gun. It just might be more than needed, but that's good especially when you decide you want to get a faster marker.

however, since you got your 98 with a response, you will immediately have to get a nice hopper. go with a used Halo B off pbnation.

You'll definitely want some kind of hopper. The RT will let you fire around 16 bps so buy a hopper that can feed at least that fast. The Halo B would work great so get that if you can find it cheap. If not, there are other options. Look around, see what's available, and then check out the reviews at http://www.pbreview.com - www.pbreview.com and ask forumers who have used it before.

thanks to all of u guys youve helped me alot but i have yet another ??? whats the point of a drop forward

The point of a drop foward is to bring the gun closer to your body, making a smaller profile. And also for looks.
I would suggest a Cyclone for your RT

You can get them really cheap used. If you have to, get an Evlution II or III by viewloader. But, if you have the money to spare, go for the Halo.

Get your friends that play paintball involved, they can help. Word of mouth is great. If you can muster up 3 friends that play paintball, you will have a 3 man team. If you're any good, people will want to join, allowing you to do 5 man, 7 man, 10 man, etc..

It's better than nothing but once you go past the 10-12 bps area that the thing is rated to, it may not be able to keep up. It should be good enough to hold you over until you can get something better.

Dish out the extra for a used, non-ripdrive halo B.

If you got all that stuff on http://www.tippmannparts.com - www.tippmannparts.com then it would cost $128.49 before shipping. I checked the stuff out on some other sites and the prices are pretty similar. Honestly, at that point, you might as well just buy yourself a Halo. If you had an A5 or X7 then upgrading the cyclone would work fine and it would cost about half as much but the cyclone feed alone is $60. That price isn't bad but the upgrades to make it feed faster are a bit pricey and in the end, you pay more than just buying a fast hopper. Also, if you got something like a Halo then you could transfer that to another gun if you decide to buy a new one later on. I have no doubt that the cyclone would perform well (I love mine), but it seems like it may not be the best option for somebody with a 98. You can pick up a Halo with rip drive for about $100 and it's rated to 22 bps. The cyclone with all the upgrades may be able to get a few bps higher but it will cost you $30 more and, as I said, can not transfer to another gun.
The bottom line is that both will do what you need but each has their pros and cons. You'll have to make the call. Also, the soft blades he mentioned are probably just redesigned sprockets on the X7. I don't have an X7 and I have only seen them in person a handful of times but I did notice that the sprockets are clear instead of black which may indicate a new material being used. If it is something softer then that would explain why he called them "soft blades". Unless there is some new upgrade that I haven't seen yet, I think it's safe to say he was just referring to the stock X7 sprocket which I added into the price above ($10 for both pieces).

Clever. Your batteries shouldn't run out too fast anyway. My revvy was very good with batteries when I played primarily with my 98. Rechargeable batteries are a great idea though if you can get some.

If you don't already have HPA I'd save for that. If you do already have it, maybe a regulator.

does hpa cost more to fill up than co2

I think it costs the same at my local store and the fields I've been to charge the same for an air pass regardless of whether it's CO2 or HPA.

A secondary regulator just helps to keep the pressure more consistent.
