I want to get a new barrel for my X7, but I don't see any that tippmann makes. Is this because Tippmann's A5 barrels fit the X7?

The X7 uses the same threading as the A5, with the only exception being the A5 Flatline.

If you have trouble fitting a barrel made for the A-5 in the shroud of the X-7, open the shroud and remove the little plastic ring towards the muzzle of the gun.
