New to paintball and was looking into getting a Tippman A5. I wanted the E-Grip but a guy told me about a Wasp trigger or it was the E-Grip with Wasp board or something along that line? Not too sure what it is can anyone shed some light on that for me. Any recomendations on triggers?

Ah. Actually, it's the WAS Board, and it's a performance board that has been installed in new A-5 e-grips. It's a good board, especially considering it's stock now. As for triggers, I don't know much about A-5 triggers, but look for a good double trigger. I prefer "blade" styles, which are triggers that are straight down instead of actually curved for 2 fingers.

Good luck and enjoy.

The WAS board sucks, though.  For $20 more, get an eGrip with an APE Rampage board preinstalled http://www.tippmannpros.com/APE-Rampage-Board-Package-For-Tippmann-A-5-P283C0.aspx - here .  The Rampage is waterproof, easier to program, much more reliable and uses about 1/3 - 1/5 the battery power of the WAS.

personally id get a response trigger instead of an e grip. you sacrifice a little bps, but theres no batteries to run out and you dont have to worry about getting it wet (for those without waterproof boards)

The egrip is just an electronic grip for the A5. It basically changes how the gun is fired so that, instead of tripping the sear physically with the back of the trigger, you press a microswitch and a solenoid trips the sear for you. This lets you get adjustable triggers so you can shorten the pull and shoot much faster in semi than you could with a mechanical setup. You also get the different firing modes such as 3-shot burst, full auto, etc. I love my APE board so far, it's a lot of fun to mess with. People don't expect me to be able to sling a lot of paint when they see the A5 either so the reactions of the people next to me are priceless, lol.

be careful choosing your double trigger.  Not all the double trigger works w/e-grip.
