Hi

I've had a good read through the forum about the differences between the A5 and X7 however there are a couple of things that I couldn't find any info on that will help me sway my decision one way or the other.

First of all to say I play Woodsball and am not interested in Speedball.

I am interested in using an air through stock system however and this is probably the biggest decision factor for me:

The Special Ops A5A2 air thru stock kit as seen in this photo:

http://www.specialopspaintball.com/shop/imageviewer.asp?SKU=210+0049&IMAGE=b - A5 air thru stock

shows the airline running from the Tombstone Adapter down the side of the Receiver and then into the stock.

Now on the X7 version it doesn't show this.

So am I right in assuming that the airline for the X7 remains inside the weapon and that you do not have an external line running from the Tombstone adapter to the stock?

The other question is to do with mods.   It would appear that the barrels are interchangeable between the A5 and X7 but what about the other mods like the shrouds and handguards?

Thanks

Ed

ok to answer your first question yes, the air-thru line does stay inside the X7.

now to answer your second question, no the other parts are not interchangeable. only the barrels.

i have an X7 and highly reccomend it as it is a great scenario gun and can be modded and up'd in many ways.

Excellent thanks for the reply.

How the air line ran was the clincher as to which gun I bought.

The X7 looks a lot better for MilSim because of the way they have now routed the air line for the air thru stock.

Cheers  Ed
