Call me a purist, but I remain unimpressed.  The extra space between the back of the handguard and the magazine well just spoils the whole mil-sim effect for me on most of the 98's I see set up like this.

Not the best. I've seen one with actuall AR15 parts welded or somehow otherwise attached to the body. It looked exactly like an AR15 type firearm. And Carbines are way better for M16/M4 mods.

You must not have seen many M4-98's then.

Please, Carbines are so much better for AR15 mods. No question about it.

I think RT's are great, but if you want to get as real to an M4 as possible, go with an E-Grip.

I also think a Cyclone with X7 hopper would look quite nice

yeah i was thinking a cyclone with a 50 round tac cap . but that like another 60 bucks . so i got a lapco direct feed and i never have any chops or miss fires ( unless i run out of paiontballs cuz i shoot to fast . i mean if i want that fast of an effect ill just get a revy and then a rt . i not to fond of battaries
