As long as it is not protected forest or national park, you own the land, or have permission to do it on the land, then you should be fine.

It really depends on the local laws in your hometown...at least here in the States.

Its only illegal if you get caught?

Nobody should really care if your shootin in the woods as long as your not trying to shoot animals or houses ect. I used to shoot at the trees in  my backyard all the time and nobody cared.

If you own the land, or get permission from the owner its not illegal. Nobody should care as long as its not near any people/houses.

If your playing renagade then you should be doing it a decent way into the woods. We had an area that was roped off in my od hang out spot and we hung about 12 signs that said "Those loud noises are paintball guns being fired further on, do not enter without proper protection!". No one ever cared (or at least said anything).

Check with your local law enforcement. Thought Canada does have a much better healthcare system for someone randomly injured by paintballs, so I guess its not as strict as it is in the US.

check bylaws and such, where i live in, and surrounding areas have made it illegal to discharge paintballs or bbs/pellets, if the city owns it they probably will dislike it..
