ive heard some people put rainx in the barrel, oiling the barrel isnt needed, actually id think it would be bad, rainx helps reduce drag in barrel so tight bores work a bit better and it helps when a barrel breaka ocurrs, the paint slides out quicker.

That isn't what Rain-X does. Rain-X helps with cleaning ball breakage in the barrel, sorta like what the J&J Ceramic does.

DO NOT put oil in your barrel, it will cause your balls to slide as they go down the barrel thus decreasing accuracy.

.....wow so a freely sliding ball is less acurate than a ball that cathes drag on one side and puts a bad spin or unequal force on the ball... wow im so stupid, why would anyone want the ball not to drag....

No, the oil will cause the ball not to rotate correctly in the barrel. Therefore causing inaccuracy. Try it. I guarantee it will not help accuracy at all.

What Snake said:  Oiling the barrel would give you an effect similar to what you get with broken paint in the barrel.

you want your barrel to be as dry as possible.  don't put anything in there .  If your gonna oil your barrel, why don't you just oil your paintball

yeah, rain x puts like a wax in your barrel. Doesn't noticeably affect accuracy, but when you break a ball, the paint will blow out much quicker.
