ok so this is the first time i used the r/t on my gun and i was having this problem where i would have to keep cocking the gun back another like inch or so in order to shoot. I would shoot like 5 balls or so then the trigger just wouldn't budge until i cocked it back a little bit further even though it was already cocked... any ideas on why this was happening.

sounds like you're low on air, or starved for air.

refill your tank, and make sure you oil your internals, rear bolt o-ring might need some love.

The next time it doesn't recock all the way (carefully) disengage your hopper and look into the side of the gun (not the front through the barrel) the hole on the side and you probably have a ball half way in the hole.

It happened to me alot until I got a faster hopper or you can retune the speed to the hopper you have.

I was told that the RT doesn't work with compressed air. At least, that's what a bunch of guys at the local shop said. I wanted to throw in for a oxygen tank but they advised me against it saying that it doesn't work with the RT's on any of Tippmann's models. It didn't make a whole lot of sense to me because the RT just uses blowback CO2. It's not like the CO2 is in liquid form when it hits the RT so I'm not sure why O2 wouldn't work but they swore up and down that it wouldn't.

I ended up buying an e-grip instead. Lol.

First you said HPA wont work, then you said co2...They both work!

Sorry. I meant HPA both times. What I was trying to say, is that it doesn't make sense why HPA wouldn't work, and any theory I could come up with didn't really make sense. I haven't tried it first hand though. I just heard from those who had. If I ever buy an RT I'll definitely give it a shot. For now I'll stick with my e-grip.

The RT works fine with HPA.  It can be a little harder to sweetspot, but it works fine.

The problem described is not caused by HPA - in fact, it is a common problem with CO2.

My guess is that the tank is either low on air (easy to happen with a 3k tank) or there is some starvation happening someplace.

what i realy think is funny, and kinda of anoying, im not saying this is your problem but ive seen so many posts saying "somthings wrong" and they dont check if they have air or not, i realy think there should be a stickie or somthing like that, saying what to look for before you post for help, just my honest opinion though
