Ok I have to say this is kind of a wierd issue for me. I have spent the last two weeks trying to figure out exactly what is going on, but here is the break down.

I just installed a new Tippmann E-Grip with the WAS Board. The issue I'm having has a little to do with the pin that runs down the handel of the grip and the other half of the problem has to do with my sear and power tube (I think).

The first issue I had was that this little pin was too long and pushing my sear up so it wouldn't catch the power tube, resaulting in the marker not cocking. To fix this I simply filed down the pin until it would cock back, which seemed to fix the issue with no problems.

The second issue I'm having right now is the fact that only one mode on the E-Grip is actually working. Semi-Auto mode works just fine, however when I switch to three round ramping, response, or turbo, all of them act as full auto with no breaks as soon as I pull the trigger a couple of times, I can only speculate that the sear is not catching the Power Tube correctly during these firing modes.

Currently the E-Grip is set to Factory Defaults, and none of the internals of the A-5 have been changed. Any help would be greatly appreciated, but to be quite honest, I really have no clue what is going on with this marker, nor do I have a ton of experiance working with markers in general so please try to be newbie friendly.

are you using stock sears?  If so, then thats your problem.

The armature pin (what you discrive above) is a perfect size, you shouldnt have to cut it down.  The armature pin goes down when your not pulling the trigger.  You also need to remove the slider pin from your trigger, if your using stock or double trigger.

The e-grip I got came with a standard trigger with no slider pin on it. As for the stock sear, I'm using the sear that came with the e-grip. I figured it would be best to use what came with the gun. I just find it odd that its not catching on Three Round Ramping, Response, and Turbo modes, but works fine on the semi-auto mode.

When I oringinally installed the e-Grip the Armature Pin was pushing up too much on the sear causing the power tube to not lock back when the marker was "cocked" I paintball with a couple of people who have been doing it for years and a couple of them had to do the same thing. I'm starting to wonder if maybe my stock power tube is too worn out for the e-grip.

I have a GTA E-grip and never had a problem, other my red wire being disconnected .  and i just fix it today.

I highly suggest returning it and get a new one, to avoid future problems.  I've never actually hered that type of problem.  Maybe the "A5OG.com" can help you with your setup.

Sorry, if i'm not much of help.  Hopefully those other guys can help you or had similar problem before.

Check the Rear bolt and sear and the battery in your e-grip. have fond that not all the batterys are the same......

E-grip sear has a round hole in it where the standard sear has a oval hole in the sear......
