I'm looking for some more opinions on getting my A5 running again.

First I'll give a little backround. I took off the cyclone and installed a Q-loader. I didn't like the q-loader, so I took it off and bought a new right receiver half and reinstalled the cyclone. All the parts look like they are in good shape.

Now my cyclone will not turn, and the RT performs poorly, there is a lot of shootdown and my velocity won't get up past 275 regardless of operating PSI. I dismantled the cyclone and the parts look good. I fired the marker without the cyclone connected and no air comes from the hose on the banjo fitting that feeds the cyclone.

I did a lot of high ROF shooting with the Q-loader installed and wonder if I damaged the power tube. It looks OK on the outside. I will replace it with a good aftermarket one if it will fix it.

What do you all think?

it might be possible that you might of broke it but i dont know, i would replace it but you might want to wait for more people's, or you could just buy one if you got the money?

" http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/2531/ - Red Hot Power Tube ", it's made out of aluminum not plastic, i had it for a while now and it works great.

Could be that the power tube has miniature cracks.  I've heard of many of them cracking.  I second the Red Hot; works great.

OK thanks.

I'll look into the Red Hot.

I saw one from Dead-On that is aluminum and it also comes with a new deldrin front bolt for $30. Do you guys know anything bad about that one?

Before you spend any money, I would take off the front banjo and see if it has a blockage.  If no air comes out of it and the RT works poorly it could be blocked.  Possibly a piece of teflon tape, or a piece of o-ring, dirt or any number of things.

Good idea. It seems clear, I can blow air through the hose. I also made sure to line up the hole in the banjo bolt to reduce frictional losses in the fitting.
