Doesn't surprise me at all.
I'd still take an xbox 360 over either. The wii gets old... quick and the ps3 is too much money for not enought system. I have to say that I'm not a big fan of any of the 3 systems but the xbox is the best of the three. ------------- <just say no to unnecessarily sexualized sigs> |

I agree the PC is superior to any console. IMO, the article seems to point to the fact that people are more willing buy an innovative and fun, yet somewhat graphically lacking system that costs less than the higher performance and more expensive 360's and PS3's.

I don't care about sales figures. I own a Wii and a 360, and from personal experience, the 360 kills the Wii, IMO. And what is this about the Wii being so much more fun than other consoles? I have yet to find a game for the Wii that was better than the same game on the Xbox. Xbox 360 > Wii. IMO. |

Although it may just be hearsay, apparently the new Man Hunt coming out on Wii was far too graphic with the hand motions you would have to make, so the whole game is being re done. Kinda sucks.

id take my xbox over a wii. i havent seen or heard any good games or games i'd be at least interested in for wii. ps3, maybe resistance fall of man, that looks cool, but still no games have i heard of.
if i had the money for an amazing computer, i'd get one to play some RTS and whatnot on it, but no shooters. defiantly sticking with my 360. i'd defiatnly like a nice pc to play star wars empire at war. |

Exactly. That is why the Wii has out sold the 360. I have a friend who hasn't owned a game system since SNES, but he got a Wii and loves it. Its marketed toward the average person who just likes to have fun with his/her friends, and so far it is working. |

oh man i forogt about mario cart and super smash, awesome games back in the day. and super mario bros. loved that. and goldeneye.
yes. wii does market to a huge audience. but just because it outsells does not mean its better. just like anyhting else its personal preference. i prefer good shooters, and good rpgs on a console. and hopefully a good RTS will come along that works great on a console. i am not interested in wii fitness, or wii tennis. i wouldnt be amused by that. i would only be amused if it became virtual reality, where i coud think i was running in like Halo 3 jumping around and shootng, and while thinking actually doing so. then i'd be interested in the wii motion. |

Is it being outsold worldwide or in the US. Because it makes sense if its worldwide, Japan is huge in the Wii. Theres sales probably stomp on any Wii sales in the US. -------------

i think worldwide it is outselling all competitors.
japan has yet to even accept microsoft as a serious competitor. even halo and oblivion cant bring them to except microsoft. eventually maybe, but not recently. nevermind competitor, they dont even accept microsoft as a game console worth looking at. i just started playing KOTOR again. well the second, cant find the first. meh. |

The Wii is outselling because of simple gimmick advertising. There isn't even really a comparison with the quality/quantity of games for the 360. -------------

I haven't played wii much at all in the past few months. I will say that Zelda for wii was amazing and any time a new one comes out i'll be playing it for sure.

ha if that was only the case. goldeneye, crappy graphics by todays standards, but absolutely one of the best shooters ever. same with doom. contra was amazing as well. so wasnt duck hunt, super mario bros. 2. i could go on and on. yeah, during their time good graphics i guess, but even still, games with amazing graphics can be piss poor. i know you were being sarcastic, but i had to say that. |

I consider graphics to be a pretty important part of gameplay. While yes, there are awesome games that have terrible graphics, there's just no excuse to market a system or a game that has severely outdated graphics. While yes, there are games on the Wii that are great without having top notch graphics, it also has a massive amount of lazy ports so far. Just my opinion. -------------

mario strikers is the most addicting game ever!!! I have a psp and ds still play them both so I dont see why one system has to be labeled the best -------------  if you put 500 dollars into an A5 it is still an A5
