Ions are definitely not user friendly. The easiest group of markers to maintain are basically are poppet valve markers or those similar to them. Basically because disassembly only takes a minute and there are very few o-rings to lube.
The price range for these markers span from the $250 Promaster to the $1750 Ego SL-74. -------------

To me, the Impulse was freakishly easy to maintain. Lube the Ram, clean the bolt/eyes, wipe down the gun get rid of paint and you're done. -------------
