| I am using an A-5 E-grip with a JJ Ceramic 14 inch and I am using whatever paintballs are available. I have not added any other upgrades to the marker. Right now, my accuracy is shoddy at best. I am new to paintball so I could use a little help trouble shooting this. What are some reasons for the lack of accuracy and what are some neccesary upgrades for improvement? |

Check the quality of the paintballs you use. Make sure they're medium bored and make sure your velocity is consistent., by checking it over a chrono.

if you use a J&J any RPS paint works well ( Marblizer, premium, bigball )

Well, you said you are new to paint ball, so maybe it just seems off. Paint ball guns obviously aren't like real rifles, so it's range is somewhat limited. I'd listen to what the other guys have said about paint. Maybe you've just used some crappy stuff. I recommend Pro-Ball. They are my favorite brand, plus they make a red-shell red-fill model that i always use. The only draw back for me is that I have to buy em online. I'd compare your gun to some of your buddies if you want an accurate test. That way you can see if maybe there is something wrong with your gun/paint, or if it's just perception. ------------- ::SaM:: |

The most important accuracy contributor is your barrel and then the size of the paint in comparison to the barrel (paint to barrel match). J&Js aren't usually very picky, though, but roll a couple of paintballs through your barrel anyway. If they stop but can be blown through without too much force, you have a perfect match. The barrel and HPA are the two things that did the most for my accuracy. Oh, and shooting slower. If you're ripping 20+BPS on full auto, good luck. -------------
