Hoping I can get some help here. I bought an A-5 used and have had some issues. First off, it has a response trigger and I am using co2. I can't get my velocity very high (no higher than 240 feet per second) on a chrono no matter how far out the velocity screw is out. I have replaced the rear spring now with no difference. I checked the power tube just in case but I can't see anything wrong with it. I did however order a new jcs red hot today anyways. I have replaced most of the o-rings and still....no increase. What am I missing?

hmmm no clue. make sure the RT and Cyclone air lines are full tightened? Maybe air is escaping...

How do I make sure they are tight? The just seem to slide on the valves and sit there. Should there be a little clamp or something?

run a soap and water mixture lightly around all of your hose connections to check for a leak. might also want to check the valve to make sure its clean. if the previous owner had used some sort of weird oil in the asa, it could have gummed up the valve.

Already polished the internals but no increase. I'll pull it apart and triple check everything again. Wishing I stayed with my 98 at this point.

I put a sliding stock on mine and couldn't get it above 240 until I put a new drive spring in it, but you say you've done that.  Do you have a stock or RVA?  If so, replace it with a stock end cap and see if that doesn't fix the issue.

Seemed to get it corrected. I do have a sliding stock but I replaced the power tube, rear spring and all o-rings. Now its working good. Not sure which fixed it but at this point who cares?
