I've heard a lot of great things about these markers. Apparently they are comparable to Excaliburs and Vikings, and thought I might pick one up on eBay. If anyone one has used or owned one, please share some experiences.

Cyborgs are on of the best markers out now. They are the most efficient poppets available and used to be, if not still, the fastest marker stock. They also have great balance, and a small profile, although a little tall.

Comparing an Excal to a Borg is pretty silly.

In terms of operation and capability, it's an odd comparison.

Meh. I volunteer I'm unfamiliar with the workings and mechanics of each marker, thought I know the Borg is stacked tubed, and the Excal is, er, it has 3 tubes... I don't know what that would be called. You know, like Angels?
Bleh.

The Excal is closed bolt and has two solenoids. The Cyborg is kinda like an Ego.

Oh. Wow. That is a silly comparison...

Yeah, not quite the same as an Angel. Vikings work more like an Angel, but Excals are more like a shoebox Shocker. Edit- Or hell, even an e-cocker. http://www.zdspb.com/media/tech/animations/excal_complex_7fps.gif -

Nah, not an e-cocker. Maybe an Osiris, but technically, that's not a 'cocker anymore.
I was actually comparing the 3 tube layout to an Angel, not necessarily the mechanics. Is there a name for that type of design? It sure does make for an awkward diagram.

Well, 'cockers only have one pneumatic 'noid. The 2nd one is a flapper that hits a sear. See? Sear trippers ain't all bad! :)

Cyborgs have lots of tiny little parts so if your completely stripping it, do it slow.

MacDev basically continued on the route that AKALMP was forging with the Viking and Excal. Some of their designers have been quoted as saying that the Cyborg is what those two markers would have become.
Is that a suitable answer for you?

I could make somre really cruel jokes about it's lack of back block and pneus, but I'm sure you've heard it already.

It's in German, but it shows both uncapped Semi and Semi (respectively) with a pulse loader.

The stormtroopers are nice, but can be a pain to get ahold of. Good luck! And nice choice in markers!
