Helped a friend clean/lube his fairly new (less year) 1100. With the manual next to us everything seemed to go just fine. BUT upon shooting it the first time after cleaning, it now "stove pipes" the fired round half way out the ejection port. On our first box of shells it was 1 out of every 3 or 4 rounds. The 2nd box of shells (all winchester trap loads) it failed to completly eject pretty much on each round..What did we put back together wrong? any help appreciated.

Uhm, you do realize that this is a paintball marker forum right? Not a Remington semi-auto forum.

Anyway, I've found that 9 times out of ten, stovepipe jams occur due to either a dirty ejector that has gummed up with dirt/powder burn/oil, or that the load simply doesn't have enough power to provide enough diverted force to cause the fire-arm to charge the action with enough force to cause the ejector to expel the spent casing. If you took the action all the way down, you may have knocked the ejection pin out of alignment and it may need to be tuned by a gunsmith to get it working properly again. I normally use a little solvent and allow it to soak into the and then use compressed air to blow it out for my touchier actions on all of my fire-arms.

Anyway, have someone take a look at it, and good luck.

If you are encountering stove-pipes with ANY firearm you must clean it, otherwise I'd send it to a gunsmith...
