I am wondering if it would be a good idea to add a little weight to the marker to correct its weight distribution. For Me The Marker is a bit too front heavy and the center of gravity is just in front of the trigger guard. Would this be a good idea and where would the best place be to add weight? I would like the center of gravity to be right over the pistol grip behind the trigger. ------------- Live Win or Die Trying |

Well i am planning to use a remote with my 16oz tank to take some of the weight off the marker, but even then it still is front heavy. With the tank on (connected directly to the marker) it gets really back heavy and hard to manage.

I know its extremely obvious but it sounds like you haven't considered getting a drop forward yet. Though I've never used one, people tell me it really does even out the obnoxious back-heaviness of your gun when your tank is on.

I'm curious as what hopper you are using? The hopper position on a marker determines a lot of the weight distribution, and the 98's have a more forward placement of the hopper then most other markers. Easy Solution - Pick up a Viewloader Evolution 2 Hopper (Also known as a Eggy) The way they are shaped they have the bulk of the paintball storage towards the rear. When I used mine on my 98 I found it helped the weight distribution quite a bit. As for the backheavy issue, thats usually a given when you have the tank attached to the standard ASA. As previously mentioned (Thanks to TheWarHam), a Drop Forward will help the weight distribution. Food for Thought |
