My best friend just left this morning (NY to NM)...instead of leaving me his plasma tv he left me a 150lb duffle bag.  I say what the hell is this?  He tells me its his prized paintball equipment.  I wasn't amused...that was until I crack the bag open.  Here's the list of stuff:

1 coveralls w/ Gloves

2 different tactical vest

1 Mask

1 helmet

2 guns, one of which I identified as the A5.  The other seems to be a different brand.

2 gun stocks

2 gun barrels

Various bottles and hoses and lil co2 cartriges

I don't have a clue how to get started with this stuff.  It looks like everything needs a lil cleaning.  Where do I start?  What do I use?  Thanks

Well, find a field.  Seems like all you would need is paint.  Have any pictures?  More details can help us help you.

It seems like you have everything.  Are they CO2 tanks, or tiny cartridges?

Welcome to paintball.   :)

If you post pictures, we can probably ID everything for you and provide specific cleaning/care suggestions.

Cleaning/maintenance instructions vary depending on the type of gun involved. We need pics.

I can't seem to be able to post pics...  I guess it's because I am new.  Anyway, here are the links if someone else is able to post them for me.

That is one crappy lookin A5 you need to get a longer barrel on it for the g36 shroud to look good. The small cartridges are for the pistol, but I am not sure what kind of pistol that is.

The barrel wasn't installed.  There are actually 2 barrels for the a-5...one short and one long.  The gun I researched is the ariakon overlord.  I was able to download the manual and fire off a couple of shots with the overland, but the A-5 requires a co2 charge for the tank.

Not bad, not as good as a high-def TV, but still not bad. Unless you plan on going big-time mil-sim, you'll probably want to get rid of the pistol. They're of little use in your average game. You can probably get a decent bit of cash for it.

Keep the pistol and challenge yourself by just carrying it sometime in the future.  (I recommend initially trying this in smaller games with good cover.)

I did this once before I sold my pistol, and I had some fun doing it. Not for a new player though.

OK that Pistol is a Ariakon Overlord. It's feed by that Tube on top.

Here is some Honest Advice I suggest that you remove all the Military Modifications from your marker and Try ushing it as stock as you can. I see two grip frames for the A-5 so I assume that it has now a Electronic Grip installed.

Stick to the Gun with the tank hooked on the Bottom of the Grip and the barrel. Try out paintball and then you can add those Military Modifications if that is what you are interested in. Other wise you can always sell it to finance some of your paintball games in the future.
