I am very new to paintball, and I'm looking to add some upgrades to my newly acquired A5. I'm looking to build a really nice marker before i get out and tear it up. My main question is about the flatline barrel system. Is it worth the money and does it live up to the hype? It looks interesting and I'm really thinking about getting it, but i wanted to experienced players opinions. Thank you for your time.

p.s. Oh, and would it be advisable to put the drop in response trigger system in it?

The Flatline might get you distance, but it has very horrible accuracy and lowers the FPS of the ball to a degree where the ball might not break.

I would suggest you play first and decided what you think needs to be improved and upgrade after that.

like jerseypaint said u really should play with it first and figure out what you want to change before you spend money on upgrading it. the A-5 is already a good marker right out of the box and you may find there are other things u want to spend your money on other than a flatline or even a response trigger.

somethings ur gunna want to consider is what gas you are going to end up using, and which upgrades you may want to make based on that choice.  other things such as what you're looking for from a trigger frame.. theres pro's and cons to both the e-frame and response trigger. and that choice may warrant some mods to the cyclone.

there are also onother option when it comes to increasing distance for your shots.. do a search on the apex. in my opinion it's a better purchase than the flatline for many reasons.

but yeah try the gun out.. and then decide what you want changed. anything from ergnomics (sp) to how it shoots or loads etc etc. then look into what will make the gun do what ya want it to. there have been a few times i've spent money based solely on what i thought i wanted. only to find out later.. it was a waste of money..

Cheers! and welcome to the forum
