Hello everyone, I bought a A5 Marker on October 5th, got it in the mail on October 12th... when I first tested the gun, air was leaking out from the trigger, safety hole.... so I sent it back to TIPPMANN and they repaired it. Today I received the gun and went to test it to see if all was well... Now where the ASA attach's, air was now leaking from there... I don't know if the gun is just defective as a whole or am I doing something wrong.... I'm most likely going to have to send it back to TIPPMANN but any help is appreciated. Thanks Vincent |

Do you have an O-Ring on your tank?

I have the remote ASA connectory, with the little valve that opens and closes the CO2, but sure exactly what an O-Ring is though

Thats your problem. Research next time before you start flipping out. An O-Ring is a little rubber "ring" that goes on both the tank, and the end of the remote line. It sits on a lip and creates an airtight seal. If you don't have one, or if it is busted on the remote line, that is the most likely problem. Try to screw your tank directly into the ASA without the remote line. -------------

The o-ring is a plastic or rubber ring that fits around the piece that you screw into the marker's asa to get the air flowing to the marker. They're about $.10, but are a very important seal. If it's chipped, broken, or missing, then the air-source won't seal against the ASA and you'll have a leak like you are describing. ------------- <Removed overly wide sig. Tsk, you know better.> |

thing is, the air is leaking where the connector to the handle is not where the actually CO2 connects to..

no, its leaking from the handle part, not the valve connection, the air is leaking out of the handle.....

Then the connection between your steel-braided hose and the ASA is leaking. take it apart and teflon tape the threads on the hose, re-connect it and voila! No more leak. ------------- <Removed overly wide sig. Tsk, you know better.> |

but theres no air leaking near the steel braided hose, just on the handle itself coming out where the seperate gap between the asa and handle is.

I know... thats why i dont understand how air is coming from there because if i can feel it coming directly from there.

The only way air could be coming down the handle is if you had a valve leak and it wasn't seating for blow-back properly. Have you tried oiling it recently? put a few drops in the ASA and dry fire the sucker with some CO2 attached. It just may be some dirt or something on the seal, or just a dry seal. ------------- <Removed overly wide sig. Tsk, you know better.> |

Also try tightening the allen heads as far as you can, that might also be the problem. |
