I know what an Osiris is, silly. You act like I've only been in the paintball world for a year or something. But as much as I love Cockers, they are quite finicky.
EDIT: Perhaps I should clarify, I was saying you could get something easier to maintain and less picky than a cocker for the same price.

Osiris =/= 'Cocker
Osiris = Fist of an angry god handed to paintball players to use against their opponents on the field of conflict! It is Thor's hammer, Zeus' lightning bolt, and the Ark of the Covenant all rolled into one! Oh great and mighty God above, young Skillet is only a boy and does not yet understand that he may have offended you by snubbing your greatest gift to mankind, please spare his life and don't burn him to a cinder where he stands!
Seriously though, this IS DeTrevni we're talking about. Telling him to get a marker you don't have to tinker with is like telling me I don't need 5 sets of allen keys (one for the office, one in the gear bag, one in the car, one at home, and that I leave with the front desk of the field) to tear my markers apart on a whim. We're born tinkers when it comes to pneumatic systems.

Cool to see I have a rep to uphold! I'll get better pics and a full review when it's in.
I just love the way exposed pneus look! Makes it look all technical and stuff. To be quite honest, I think that's what drew me into 'cockers. The back-block is a close second in n33tness.
Ya know, I really want to shove the Osiris parts on my Black Magic. I'm not too crazy about that AIM body, and the SF isn't all that super either. I can probably swap parts, sell off the SF AIM for maybe $150, and use it to fund more crap! WOO! A plan!

well if im reading that discription right, the 'Cocker can achieve over 30bps . You would be able to scare little kids in a heart beat. Let alone empty a hopper in a little over 6 sec.

That's a mid-blocked osiris dry-firing at 28bps.
Now, go clean the drool off of your keyboard.

That's only 2/3 the speed it can fire hybrid. And no other marker out there can achieve an osiris' full rof at this time.

Anywhere from 40-42. The cycles are full because the sheet is infating, which means the valve is being opened fully.

I'm actually interested to see if it will cycle as fast or faster than an MQ, which is the same principle, except electronic. Logically, the MQ should be faster...
I can't wait for this thing. However, I would like to address a few potential problems.
- First, sure, I can tune the bolt to cycle at REDICULOUSLY low pressure, causing the bolt to barely even pinch, but if the bolt hits a paintball at 28 CPS, then wouldn't it still, ya know, shred it? Regardless of pressure?
- Second, I'm not sure how fast I can get a bunch of dipswitches to shoot, so don't over hype it. Yet.
- Lastly, I'm gonna NEED to focus on air delivery on this thing. Definitely. What HPR and LPR's will recharge the quickest? Should I just grab AKA regs?
Thanks!

Doesn't take much to get it going if you have the right valve (X? Classic? I forget) and a scuba input.
For real-world speed, there's the video of the Ion doing 34 consistent with a Q-loader.

That's the pneumatic direction center for the Osiris.
There's a 2nd LPR to direct airflow to the internal 3-way 'noid which powers a pneumatic ram, which hits the valve. The 4-way solenoid housing on the front block is integrated to the block itself. I'm not sure what the ram is, but it's got Free Flow QEV's. The 2nd LPR is attached via a 90* elbow.
No, you can't get the kit I've got anymore, as PGI, the company that made it, went down a few years ago. BUT, if you feel clever with tools and pneumatics, you can make your own.

My Intimidator has been fired at 25bps looked like a lazer.. and we were using Nelson Hotspots (mid-hardness)
as for regs.... CP's and the new Hyper3 should be good HPRs, i have a CP on my E2'd 2k4 and have never seen shootdown (but then ive only had mine up19bps)... and for LPRs, no idea cant help you there.. i use Ticklers but i doubt they are good for very very high CPS
