This was a favor for a friend that is going through a divorce right now.This is his gun. Last sunday we were going to play paintball. My good friend ( the guy who got me in to playing paintball )had not played in a while. He showed up with his neglected 98 custom. When he put air on it something was wrong. Being he has 3 kids a deadbeat wife I told him I would get his gun working again. I wish I had taken before shots. phase 1 (not really but I did not take any before shots...didn't think it would go this far got carried away!)  I went home with the intentions on just getting it working again. But I had a few ideas of other free stuff I could do to make it work better and look better. Best off I think this will give him a little boost and get him playing regularly again. He was kinda of bummed because he has no money to put into his gun and seeing all of our guys guns performance and cosmetic upgrades brought him down.He thinks that I am going to just get his gun working again and thats it. I can't wait to see his face! phase 2  phase 3     well this is the finished product I think. All I have to do now is put the vortex in but that should come in the mail in the next few days! I wish I could move the hand guard back a bit but it is one of those M16 barrel kits. I did the following: -milled the lettering off and the velocity hole -cut the grip off and milled the grip flares off -filled in grip holes with jb weld -ordered a bt-4 mag kit and cut to fit -cut in a quick strip mod -pen spring mod for trigger -new sear spring -macroline -sanded it down and repainted with brake caliper paint -polished internals -ordered new vortex ( old plastic gears have had it) -had some weaver rail laying around and cut it to fit and screwed it to the fore grip on top and bottom -engraved "DUTCH" in to mag well....he loves the movie Predator(thought it would be funny) I did this in hopes that he will come play more to get things off his mind. -------------

I think that I might mill the front grip off and get a m16 mag and put it right in front of the trigger guard too.

he had a red dot on the top rail at one time and he also had a bipod on the bottom but he took it off to cut weight. -------------

first time I did a quick strip I was kind of scared to cut up my new gun I had bought only months ago. But now I have no fear of modding!(After ruining several parts at my expense ....trial and error! )He will love it!-------------
