Ok, so. I'm looking to improve accuracy on my CPro. My Air America ScrewN is out of hydro in a few months, so I figured now would be a good time to get a better tank/tank reg if im going to. It's either that or switch from a teardrop to a bigshot. As well, I can't get my velocity over 250. I've tried 3 different drive springs to no avail. I figure the tanks output might not be as high as they say (i've also got macroline - could that be it?)
Anyways, I know this is half upgrade half repair, but i figured I'd post it in here. Any opinions?

Instead of the teardrop look into a J&J ceramic barrel. They are inexpensive and extremely accurate. As far as the velocity goes have you checked all of the seals and also make sure your tank is all the way in. Other than that I am not sure what is going on.

Look at the drive spring guide pin. If it looks like it fits in the back cap and the little flat edge of it is completely hidden from view, put a bb from a bb gun behind the pin and between the cap. That should fix the velocity issue.

Ilford, do you use a stock on your c-pro?
edit:
Oh, and if you're looking at a new tank, just hydro the AA tank and get a new reg. A lot cheaper that way if you want the same size and capacity in the tank.

nope, no stock. I replaced the hammer o-ring after i first noticed and couldn't figure it out. It didn't help. So far as I can tell, all seals are fine.
And Drex, isn't it supposed to fit into the cap? I mean it has since I first got the marker a couple years back (I got it new in case you ask), and it was like that even when the velocity was fine.
EDIT: and The Judge, I mean switching from my current barrel (a teardrop). I'm not gonna buy a teardrop :P

Ilford, is your first shot low at the chrono? If so, it's not a line-restriction issue as you'd only see shoot-down AFTER the first shot or two. Have you tried it with another tank or CO2? It could very well be that the valve in the AA Screw-n needs to be re-built or replaced.

My first shot is about 250 (260 if im lucky), and then it shoots down rapidly (recharge is ~5 seconds if i want another 250... i've always assumed its just cause the reg sucks).
i haven't tried CO2, i used to use it but it made my marker chop and double fire for some reason (i still don't know why, neither did any of the techs i talked to) for the ~6 months i used it. I haven't tried another air tank though. the reg is crazy inconsistent anyways, so I think i'll try another, and if it works better than mine for velocity as well I'll upgrade the tank reg.
EDIT: Would it be a horrible, horrible idea to disconnect the macro from the CVX, and partially screw in the tank to ensure the macro is clear?
I'm pretty sure it would work, I'm just not sure how quickly the pressure release would increase to its max. I'm guessing I can't hold a piece of macro exhausting 800 psi still very easily. Does anyone know?
